Go to learn much. Lots to do. Clear impact on bottom line. Easy access to executives. Smart people worldwide.

    Cons

Low salaries. Not much incentives and poor benefits. Top heavy. Lack of real review process leading to promotions and/or salary adjustments/bonus. No learning from failure culture. Message from the top "Keep doing a good job and don't complain otherwise you get out". Company growing through mergers. No career development path.

    Advice to Management

Hire and empower middle management layers to support line level employees. Offer perks and deliver them to performing employees at performance review time.

    Pros

Obtaining technical experience to support your resume,

    Cons

Senior management is out of touch with the clients and the employees. Recent surveys requested by senior management determined that some clients do not trust or respect the senior management, and the Lionbridge employees do not trust or respect the senior management.

    Advice to Management

You have a tremendous pool of resources in your employees - listen to them. More importantly, listen to your clients. Your elitist mentality of forcing Lionbridge ideals to the clients is alienating the clients. The emphasis on internal reporting and analysis without knowing what the clients need is frustrating the employees and the clients. Boise management has lied to the clients and lied to the employees.
