I worked at Lionsgate as an intern

    Pros

A lot of opportunity to network. Interesting Lunch and Learns. Super friendly staff. I learned a lot during my internship.

    Cons

There isn't really a designated space for interns within departments so you might end up sitting in a different area and working alone.

    Advice to Management

Make sure interns can sit with their departments. Do Lunch and Learns for more departments.

    Pros

Position interacts with multiple departments, offering editor a broader scope of the production and marketing processes. Able to work independently as well as with film publicists to secure best possible materials for the studio.

    Cons

Hours can be long, but such is a career in entertainment. Not unusual.

I worked at Lionsgate as an intern

    Pros

    Phenomenal office space.
People are very helpful and made every effort to help the interns learn.
Exposure to a many areas of the business and are really treated like a member of the company

    Cons

Could have asked more of the interns, it would have made for a slightly more productive summer.
Hourly pay is very low, but that's not why you are there, you're there for the experience.

    Advice to Management

Try to find more ways to get the interns engaged on projects that will make them want to continue to be a part of the entertainment industry.

    Pros

Experience and overall involvement is great and makes me sure that I want to be in this industry. It is what you make it but it is not hard to get involved. Accommodate for interns very easily.

    Cons

Not very much to say here besides maybe the cold temperature in the office. But really, bring a jacket if you get cold often because it's freezing in the office.
