I worked at Liquid Digital Media full-time

    Pros

People, people, people. Very tight team that works well together. Everyone is willing to jump in and help to get the job done.

    Cons

The client is disorganized and plodding; expects the moon from vendors, but can't get simple things done themselves due to legacy systems.

    Advice to Management

Attracting and retaining tech workers is completely different from attracting and retaining warehouse staff.

    Pros

LDM was a great place to work - lots of like minded people who are passionate about music and technology.

    Cons

Opportunities for advancement were few in later years as music industry went into decline.

    Advice to Management

Look beyond paid music downloads. Too much reliance placed on a single client - management should try to cultivate relationships with more partners.

    Pros

Managers very flexible, good work/life balance
    Media/music industry is very exciting
people are very friendly - most enjoy their job

    Cons

lack of resources makes success in market difficult.
production cycle could create fire-drills during non-business hours.
historically, Liquid had silos that didn't always communicate / play-well together.

    Advice to Management

either commit resources needed to succeed or turn off the lights
running on a skeleton crew today, essentially guarantees failure
