Excellent Benefits; Great Work-Life Balance; Little Room for Promotion
Aug 25, 2022 - Staff Accountant in Houston, TXRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Benefits were great; health insurance and 401(k) kicked in on day 1 of being hired. The company contributes at least $1,000 each year into your HSA account; The workload in Finance & Accounting was always manageable; Month-end close was completed within 5 days; there was great camaraderie working together to help each other out to meet goals and deadlines; Managers and CFO were always caring about the team and want to ease concerns while motivating the team forward; the company makes a lot of money from their chemical products sold to oil & gas companies; catered in food regularly; provided small gifts of appreciation regularly (this company truly enjoys showing employee appreciation); during pandemic care packages were sent out, drive-thru pizza parties were held, and working from home was in effect from March 2020 - June 2021; Hybrid schedules would be offered there after.
Cons
Little room for upward mobility; the company has a big corporate feel with Oil & Gas industry vibes, but is a small/medium company with little room for advancement; No 100% remote options allowed in Summer 2021

Good benefits and culture but terrible career opportunities
Jul 26, 2022 - Anonymous EmployeeRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Nice people, good benefits, 19/30 program.
Cons
Poor growth opportunities, poor leadership, lack of required expertise at the top level, middle-level managers are who really save the company from falling apart.

- Former Contractor★★★★★
Pros
Free food, laid back, company activities
Cons
Feels like highschool all over again. The expect you to become friends with everyone in your team. Yet the team in Supply Chain is very clicky. The manager of Supply Chain at the time didn't acknowledge good work ethic. Only saw if you were social. It seemed like they only wanted to hire one type of personality and that was Dominant, Controlling, Closed minded, Sassy. New hires would never come back on the 2nd or even first day. I mean there's a reason why... maybe this company needs to look at stuff they need to correct if it's such a pattern which it was.

Company as a whole does treat employees well.
Dec 25, 2020 - Shipping and Receiving Operator in Chickasha, OKRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Great medical, vision, and dental insurance for employees. Overall upper management takes good care of the employees. Random gifts for employees to show appreciation.
Cons
Certain department manager will NOT support you. He will throw you under the bus to save his own rear.
