I worked at Lithia Motors part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Lithia Motors really tries to retain their employees. Their pay structure is very fair and balanced. Had I not wanted to retire, I would still be working for Lithia.

    Cons

Sometimes the hours do get a little long, but that's the way the automobile industry operates.

    Advice to Management

Somehow reducing the hours worked. or increasing the pay structure.

    Pros

Great Benefits, and awesome opportunities through the company! Corporate is very helpful and always provides significant information and help. This company is recommended!

    Cons

Sometimes getting caught up in a big company can be a downfall for a small place. We have lost some employees after Lithia bought us out, due to lowered pay

I worked at Lithia Motors full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Some of the co-workers are easy to get a long with, the income potential is also a plus.

    Cons

Very hard work for not enough pay. Management doesn't seem to care about the good employees. Management doesn't listen to employees to make things work more smoothly. If you're not ok with weather conditions, then this place is not a good idea. You feel the cold, the heat and everything in between.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees and treat the hard working good ones better.

    Pros

Great benefits and pay. They give good bonuses and good spifs. They do treat their employees very well. It is laid back

    Cons

Long hours. They schedule you for 8 hours but usually you work more if there is a car deal. If you are home and a customer wants to look at a vehicle they will call you.

    Advice to Management

They should provide company cell phones. They also should provide offices for each sales person instead of tables. Clothing should be free if lithia branded.

I have been working at Lithia Motors full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Many dealership too few VP's to manage their stores.

    Cons

VP's out of touch with reality, not interested in anything but their own boys. Great msg from the CEO, but what good is it when his VP's could care less. GM wings are clipped. no one listens to the people who are there working their assets 12-14 hours a day

    Advice to Management

We have seen your club boys screw things up, yet you still cover up for them and keep them in positions. Try and take care of the slaves that are doing the job and making you monies

    Pros

-Excellent product and sales training. I would not be where I am today without the training I got here. You could rush through it, or really take it seriously, I took it seriously. Aside from the computer training, they great corporate trainers.
    -Nice stores
    -Great systems in place

    Cons

-Switched my sales manager 4-5 times and GM 3 times, I worked there for just over a year. It was my first sales job and sort made management seem scary, it's not, unless you work for a huge corporation. The seem to have this fixed at the store I worked at.
-Work to much: 5 scheduled days including every Saturday. Usually worked my days off to grind out sales. This is also adjusted now to every other weekend at least.

    Advice to Management

To Corporate management: Don't come into a brand new, small town market without any actual market research (besides knowing the store you are buying sells a decent amount of cars) research and wonder why things aren't working like they do on the West coast.

I have been working at Lithia Motors full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Benefits are ok......... besides that, I got nothing of any substance. Think hard before selling your soul to this company.

    Cons

Current GM out of touch with his employees. They are disposable to him.
Service manager in over her head, makes one bad move after another.
Cadillac dealership taken away & given to another dealership effectively stripping all of the good employees of this once thriving dealership of their livelihoods. No offer of other job opportunities were given.
    Shame on you.

    Advice to Management

Why bother, they dont listen anyway.

I have been working at Lithia Motors full-time

    Pros

Seems like a good company during interviews

    Cons

Constant management change. 4 General Managers in 5 1/2 months. REALLY!

    Advice to Management

Fix it and give people time to build a team
