    Good facility, clean building, good assistant principals

    Cons

    unorganized, not enough resources for teachers, a lot of miscommunication, no support from administration, not enough security, lack of cohesive school environment

    Create more of a positive school environment, follow up on discipline issues faster, invest more money in teachers and staff,

    Ineffective management, discipline problems range from perpetual nuisance to nightmarish.

    Terrible work/life balance.

    Advice to Management

    Start taking student discipline more seriously, find a way to discipline students that they care about. Students do not care about being suspended or sent to in-school suspension.

    Working with the students and faculty was educational and rewarding.

    Heavy amounts of paperwork on top of therapy duties, school duties, and large caseloads.

    Advice to Management

    Hire a team to do evaluations only. Reformat IEPs to reflect minutes per month. Require supervisors to make monthly visits.

    I worked at Little Rock School District (Less than a year)

    Pros

    As a LRSD employee you will work with a great cohort of teachers, administrators, and staff. Although the job can be taking, it is always well worth it.

    Cons

    Work-Life balance can be difficult to maintain at times, seeing that as a teacher your work never stays at work.

    Advice to Management

    Focus on the kids and their communities more! The rewards will be reaped much quicker.
