At Little Sprouts, everyone is family. All are treated with respect here and upper management actually cares about your well being. Great work/life balance. everyone is supportive of one another.

    Advice to Management

Keep pouring your love into this company and it will continue to grow and help children receive the best early child hood education possible.

I worked at Little Sprouts full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    - I loved the environment (Happy kids and playful staff)
    - My director was nice and understanding
-The kids were my favorite part
    -Family orientated
    -Had good intentions (terrible execution)

    Cons

    -Very low pay
    -Under staffed at times
    -Unwilling to give raises
-Expected too much from the teachers

    Advice to Management

Teachers are supposed to get "planning time" but never did. I was a float and half the time was asked to clean cubbies in the hall ways instead of give planning time to the teachers. I was friends with one of the preschool teachers and the amount of work expected from them was SOO MUCH TO ASK FOR yet she was getting paid less than Walmart workers....I'm sorry but this company makes so much money off of these families yet are unwilling to give their teachers appropriate pay.
The teachers are expected to write curriculum, do something called TSG, clean classrooms, hang up projects, do paper work, clean staff room, send daily notes, send pictures, (all during nap time I'm assuming because no planning time is given).

I have been working at Little Sprouts full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great Coworkers! Working with the children was great!

    Cons

The directors do not schedule enough staff, they combine rooms or move children room to room to fit their needs. Teachers are expected to do monthly calendars, newsletters, weekly lesson plans, TSG assessments, and maintain an entire classroom. Company charges hundreds a week for children to attend, but wont pay employees who have been there for YEARS more then minimum wage. Uncertified float teachers are used for hours at a time alone in classrooms.

    Advice to Management

Pay more. Care about your employees!

I have been working at Little Sprouts full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Teams genuinely care about each other and support one another through personal and professional challenges. Fun work environment. The company encourages "being yourself" and self-expression. Making a difference in the lives of families and children!

    Cons

Because we are a small company, everyone pitches in to make the program successful, which sometimes can mean longer work hours or small tasks outside of your "normal" scope of responsibility.

    Advice to Management

I love that management feels like "real people" and that they really care about the company!
