    Pros

Work your own schedule if...and ONLY IF.... You get the opportunity to.

    Cons

Don't get paid for all that training. The call volumes are low because there are just too many agents competing for so few time slots / call blocks :(. It's like so little bitter spread over waaaaay too much bread. Average part time income is about $250 per month for the first 3 months. And about $300 thereafter. It really takes about 36-40 call hours / talk time to make about $70. :(. Also, You pay $70 for your own background check to be considered for contract. Constant system issues related to The Java software.

    Advice to Management

Why do you keep adding more and more and more agents when there is so small call volume for inbound sales????

I have been working at LiveOps as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

You learn fast how to do things on your own

    Cons

I wish there was a way to cut the middle man! They are taking full advantage of people needing/ wanting to work from home. We have become a market for the industry. How do they get away unfair practices? I have worked in the Customer Service Industry for a while, Liveops is like working for a third world country. You are your own Trainer, IT dept, HR dept, and mentor! You do it all. They will assist you for 40.00. You paid for your own background and credit check. These were things that were included in your Customer Service job when you work for a company. You use to get paid for upsells in this industry. Not anymore, you're forced to upsell products and not get paid for it like pizza hut. If you don't, they will monitor your calls and give you CE, your screwed!. Had I know upfront that I would be forced to upsell products and not get paid for it, I would have looked elsewhere. You're paid only when your lips are moving, I did not know that. And god forbid if you have something to say in the forums, don't bother they troll and control everything. It's a bit creepy honestly. People are so rude and will shut you down if you say how you feel. It's' bizarre. ALL I am saying I wish there was a way to cut the middle man. You pay for everything yourself for them to make money off you and control you. This market needs improvement. If we could work directly for companies and cut the middle man out, that would be amazing and fair. Like Geico, they are saving a ton of money at the expense of poor people needing to work from home. As long as they are making the money at the top who cares about the bottom( Independent contractors). Without contractors they will not survive, you would think they would be responsible and fair. No! scared tactics are used to keep you in control.

    Advice to Management

I have none! They know exactly what they doing. Taking advantage of people plain and simply.

You are at home that's all the good in this company

    Cons

This company wants only people that make nickels the minute you make a whole dollar there's an issue. You ask for help and there is none HOWEVER the minute yu make a mistake there is no coaching to see what the issue was or what mistake was actually made they throw you under the bus as they never new you this is no place to pave your anything about you life on because you must be worried if you will be a "contractor" long with them. Management?? What's that! Learn on your own but please don't make one mistake or you are doomed. DONT BASE YOUR LIFE OR SUPPLEMENT YOUR INCONE HERE , you'll find yourself in a mess

    Advice to Management

You really need to understand that people make mistakes when they are learning and try to help them out. You are not perfect and no one is either. If you want go relationships with people long term try helping them out a little more. Soon as you think you are on track your company breaks people down. You don't make good relationships at all

    Pros

The only thing that I can say good is that they offer work from home positions -- that is all.

    Cons

The company tells you upfront about the $65 background/credit check that you have to pass before you are hired as an independent contractor. However, they do not tell you that once you get in and take the long hours of certification that you will not get to schedule hours for "nesting". The Live Ops staff says you have to "stalk" for hours which is ridiculous. Who in the H has take for all of that. They should tell you all of this upfront before you spend money on background check, phone line, etc. I feel strongly that this company receives kickbacks from the background check company which is the reason why they constantly hire folks knowing that they are not going to get to schedule hours for their "nesting" which if they do not get 20 calls by certain deadline then their contract is terminated. Word of advise to all -- stay the hell away from this company. For real

    Pros

Schedule time on YOUR own time of its available.

    Cons

If you have a tech issue there is NO one that can help you. LIVEOPS made everything sound very good by saying "independent contractor" but while in training you get complaint events excessively. Basically write-ups multiple times a day for small things. Live ops write you up if you are on a call for more than 20 mins. This is how agents are paid by the min so go figure :( When sending a message to..I don't know the Wizard Of Oz...takes days for a response..and it's always a robotic reply, never specific to your question. This company is not a good company I've worked with Independent companies and salary companies this one is at the bottom. They don't pay enough to keep writing compliance events in my opinion.

    Advice to Management

Stop writing up Independent contractors a billion times a day and talk to them or message them personally. Fix your tech issues with the company and quit holding agents accountable for companies mistakes.

    Pros

Working from home is only one.

    Cons

Signed up to make a few extra bucks part time. Poor communication from company, poor training platform, unrealistic expectations from client given how little they pay. Lots of time investment with no compensation. They make the opportunity out to be "business opportunity", but you are nothing but a 1099 contractor. You pay for your own background check, phone line, etc. - -- i.e., your are "investing" in your business. There is little opportunity to make more than .25 cents a minute. I could go on and on...

    Advice to Management

Actually talk to potential employees and have your own call center for employees. Fix all the buggy software. Focus on retaining quality, not quantity and your won't have a revolving door. I think if vendors actually saw how bad things were they would bolt. I would never buy any products or services from the companies that would outsource to the company.

    Pros

    - Work from home
    - You can pick your hours

    Cons

    - Low call volume. Don't be tricked into taking the advice " it will get better" . They overstaff the lines so the client is impressed there are enough agents but you are the one who doesn't make money when you are paid by the minute. You're the only one with skin in the game by buying the computer and paying a monthly rate for a dedicated line ,which was understood from the start ,but how do you pay for it ? LOLL!

    Advice to Management

Work from home agents are reasonable and understand that call volume fluctuates but no calls in an hour or more with 100 % commit performance ? That's insult to my intelligence. I am on the PPL program and you should have figured it out by now.

you can sign up for any hours and work anytime but there are no calls comming in for seasoned agents anymore

    Cons

Speaking up in the forums about some inconsistencies on matters such as not getting paid while on hold or gross script errors will result with negative repercussions on your work such as calls getting forwarded to other agents, lots poor performance feedback and even possilbe line removal and termination in extreme cases.

    Advice to Management

Hire some outside help instead to break up the click of agents
