Incredible place to work
Oct 8, 2020 - Senior Sales Director in New York, NYRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Incredibly supportive culture. Bright, talented and collaborative coworkers. Excellent management team. Exceptional opportunity for internal growth and continued learning.
Cons
Biggest challenge is keeping up with growth and demand.
Fellow LiveRamper - I'm glad to hear that you've having a great experience as part of our sales organization. Your team is modeling everyday heroism on many levels—it's just incredible to see how you show up for our customers. - Brandon

Startup with Funding
May 4, 2016 - Software Engineer in San Francisco, CARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Work at LiveRamp is fast paced where things and people move quickly. Doubling in headcount every hear means that there is a lot of opportunity for growth. Management compensates those who have the talent and put in the effort, which makes office politics a minimum. A lot of the managers were trained at LiveRamp which shows that Engineering truly prefers to grow the people who have worked here.
Cons
A quick response time is often demanded, which can cause a stressful environment. Bureaucracy from Acxiom is slowly seeping into the culture. Right now, this is outweighed by the growth opportunities provided by Acxiom, but it is hard to tell what LiveRamp will be like 5 years later.

Best company that I have ever worked for
Sep 1, 2014 - Product ManagerRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
It's a lot of fun to work here with extremely motivated and intelligent people. Very selective hiring makes sure that people are a good fit for the company and are passionate team players. Everyone is given a lot of responsibility which makes work challenging and exciting. I have worked for a few companies before joining LiveRamp and have to say this is the first place where I have actually enjoyed tremendous personal and professional growth in less than half a year - thanks to excellent colleagues and challenging work. Even after the recent acquisition not much has changed when it comes to work style and culture as the company remains largely independent. We're still growing fast and most people are very excited about new growth opportunities that come along with the acquisition.
Cons
The company gives you a lot of flexibility and autonomy in your work style, but you have to make sure to find your own work/life balance which can be challenging at times. If you care about working on consumer-facing products this might not be right place for you - you have to be able to derive your motivation from the (sometimes) more abstract business value we create for our customers and the larger consumer impact the company has on marketing.

Pros
Work life balance isn't bad and it's a great place for people early in their career to get exposed to the industry. However, LiveRamp may make it difficult to move on (see below).
Cons
It's shameful how LiveRamp treats their employees and it shows in their attrition numbers. They focus more on hurting their employee's future career opportunities than they do creating an environment where people want to work. Full stop. If you're a current or future employee, you should know they're likely to demand months of your income back if you move to another adtech or cloud company, citing your next employer is a 'competitor.' This list of 'competitors' is long, subjective and changes constantly. There are dozens of examples of LiveRamp sending threatening legal letters to people's new employers or even freezing vested equity, clearly with the intention of damaging the future success of their employees. Other items worth mentioning: -limited opportunities for growth; have to wait for boss to quit to get promoted -execs froze salaries for over a year, despite how well the company performed over the past 18 months -company values are truly just virtue signaling -toxic culture persists with multiple teams, mainly ATS, and nothing is done about it -don't come here thinking you'll build anything.. they're more successful with acquiring companies than developing their own tech -most of their 'SaaS' solutions are really operated by humans in the background.. have a few examples of managed services sitting behind a UI

Strong Culture, Lots of Responsibility
Aug 25, 2015 - Anonymous Employee in San Francisco, CARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
You'll take on a lot of responsibility very quickly and have an opportunity for growth. Management is pretty hands off and really trusts its employees to do their work and do it well. They care more about raw intelligence than the perfect fit into a role, so lots of fluidity through teams.
Cons
Very high expectations (also good). Not a lot of diversity. Some bureaucracy due to new acquisition, but for the most part they have shielded their employees from it.

Not just great place to work, but AMAZING!
Jan 8, 2021 - Talent Enablement Specialist in San Francisco, CARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
LiveRamp has given me so many growth opportunities and guidance. The work culture is genuine in believing 'Above all, we do what's right'. With that simplistic sentence, I believe LiveRamp has done their best to ensure every employee feels genuine and fulfilled whether it be in their work or team. The management is amazing, always reiterating in growth and potential opportunity. Despite being very entry level, LiveRamp sees value in the person/employee and not just their resume. I respect LiveRamp's culture so much because they see the potential each person holds and will give opportunity to that person if they believe they can fly and provides the right support if needed. Sometimes the greatest people only need that small window of opportunity to begin to soar.
Cons
N/A we are in a pandemic so it is difficult to gauge.

Teammate - Thanks very much for sharing your experience, especially around our core value of "doing what's right." We approach that value with a great deal of humility, knowing that what's right is not always obvious—but that we can and will figure it out together. - Brandon

Pros
Great opportunities for growth and movement with in the company. Amazing coworkers and culture that really keep employees engaged inside and outside of work.
Cons
Lack of structure can be prohibitive for employees who aren't willing to speak up for themselves and ask for what they want. Recent integration with Acxiom is beginning to affect culture, bureaucracy, and events.

Overall a great place to work
Jul 15, 2018 - Senior Software Engineering Manager in San Francisco, CARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
- Awesome and talented people. I don't think there 's anywhere else with a better mix of kind, intelligence, caring people. - Huge opportunities for personal and career growth. - Really interesting problems being solved. On engineering, I am working to solve hard problems at a scale very few other companies see. My team owns several apps that process 100s of terabytes or petabytes of data per day. - Work life balance is great. - I have an amazing degree of autonomy. - Exciting opportunities with LiveRamp going to be an independent company. - Compensation/benefits are pretty average.
Cons
- Product and engineering systems are very complex by nature of our business, the scale we operate at, and the growth we've had. Slowly improving here, but it can be hard as a new person to figure things out. - Compensation/benefits are pretty average.

Really good culture. A lot of smart, motivated people and overall seems to care about employees.
Cons
Not much feedback from managers. Growth opportunities not as apparent as I once believed. Company cutting back resources.
