I have been working at Living Spaces full-time for less than a year

    Pros

The growth opportunities are endless with the leadership support all around you in all areas of the business. This company genuinely cares about the success of each employee and will invest in their career road map. The CEO is brilliant yet very humble and generous to the employees. Free lunches are offered on the weekends, company picnics, fun monthly events, awards and recognition always given, health benefits &... 401k plan. The company is constantly looking at how to streamline process and improvements internally and simplify for mutual benefit of the customer and employee.

    Cons

Many layers of management teams however all working towards the same goals. Health benefits could be a bit more competitive in the marketplace.

I worked at Living Spaces full-time for less than a year

    Pros

free lunches, some design contribution, free coffee, good coworkers, air conditioned, relaxed enviornment

    Cons

sales/retail job, they push that it will be Interior Design, but design clients are rare

    Advice to Management

Management talks about employees IN FRONT of employees, work on that. Also all managers should acknowledge employees, a simple smile with a "Hi" would suffice. There needs to be improvement with people skills.

I worked at Living Spaces part-time for less than a year

    Pros

The free lunches on the weekends and that's it.

    Cons

THE CUSTOMERS ARE EVIL, under paid minimum wage and overly/stressful work that doesn't match with the rate of pay,

    Advice to Management

Increase the starting rate of pay for operations cashiers to $14 per hour, increase rate of pay for operation leads to $16 per hour, and for Operations HOURLY Supervisor to $20 per hour. Your Operations Center works very hard under VERY stressful conditions to appease your customers, most of which are among the most hostile in the retail sector. Do away with your Customer Calling Center, they only make things more... complicated for Operations. Finally, when you guys are writing or coaching other employees please restrict management and the empowered leads from discussing it at the Operations Center. Cashiers hear about coaching issue about sales associates and other employees from management personnel. Those issues should be discussed behind CLOSED DOORS and not gossiped by certain Operation Leads, managers and upper management. Cashiers shouldn't have to hear these written/coached up gossips out on the Operations Center where customers have access to.

    I worked at Living Spaces

    Pros

Nice building. Free lunch on the weekend

    Cons

Free lunch in breakroom surrounded by flies. Too many young kids that don't clean up after themselves. Night janitors don't clean. Training for new employees not good. But, you're always being told you should know how to do your job. Pay is not good.

    Advice to Management

Train the new people better. Hold someone accountable for training new employees.

I worked at Living Spaces part-time for more than a year

    Pros

FREEMONT- free lunch on the weekends, they have an employee kitchen w sodas and the job is a little bit over minimum $ job which is okay

    Cons

Negative environment.. let me start with management, they are rude and nice on some days (bipolar) mostly it's all rude so when they're having a day, they have so much attitude so they throw it at their employees which is so unfair. There are bonuses but you never really get them because the requirements are unreal and they hype you so much about it.. it's irritating. Barely any raises. Stop it with CARE FREE... because not everyone wants it. There's so much pressure from the whole team because people go crazy over sales like why is everyone fighting over sales like we're not even on commission?

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees with respect and do not degrade them. Please stop making everyone else's day worse because you don't have get enough sleep or you catch an attitude at a random time. Over it.
