I have been working at LivingSocial full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Livingsocial provides so much training and tools for its employees to not only excel at their jobs, but to advance in their careers with the company. This is the best company I've ever worked for. Management is hands-on but does not micro manage. They hire great people, provide great training and because of that, their employees do a great job!

    Cons

I really can't think of any.

I worked at LivingSocial full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Great people to work with. Great location downtown. Real sense of family.

    Cons

Bad financial decisions made by senior leadership team doomed the company. Frequent bets on the wrong horse.

    I worked at LivingSocial full-time

    Pros

Great people and very supportive team culture. Very friendly environment. Great benefits, gym, 401k, good insurance plans. Very central office location-easy to commute. Good salary if you negotiate and have a good experience to offer. Good place to begin your career and to get some working experience.

    Cons

Not always clear about the direction where the company is going. Communication on the upper management- employee level is not always good.

I worked at LivingSocial full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

I can't think of any. Every job you'll ever have, there will be a few great people, and a few decent perks. I guess at LivingSocial, the biggest perk was the free snacks. But even those sucked.

    Cons

Everything. Do not - DO NOT - work here. The ship has sunk, and only the tip of the hull remains above water, with Gautum stepping on those below him to keep air in his lungs.

I have been working at LivingSocial full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    Great people, fun office environment

    Cons

Doesn't pay well in many positions. Pays very well in others. Overall lack of motivation after several years of financial struggles. Company tends to lose good people by not investing in internal talent.

I worked at LivingSocial full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Great people, fun culture - lots of autonomy if you're a top performer.

    Cons

Then again, Its always fun when leadership has no clue on how to run a business by managing costs and optimizing revenue. Senior management did not have the appropriate experience to manage this amount of investment money - actually anyone who is still there from the original crew, should not be taken seriously. All of this is now obvious with the hundreds of lay offs and office closings that the company has experienced over the past four years.

    I worked at LivingSocial

    Pros

Tons of growth, new company. Great pay for the work you do. Amazing environment and great people. For entry level it is the dream job.

    Cons

Not very good communication between HQ and Managers a are constantly over worked. There isn't a ton of delegation for them. They are required by Upper management to be on call, to work 16 hour days sometimes and work on several huge projects at once. All with deadlines around the same time, making it hard to prfioritize what is more important to do

I worked at LivingSocial for more than 3 years

    Pros

Great people I worked with, had the opportunity to make a good living, worked remote, enjoyed working with small businesses, good brand awareness.

    Cons

It's sad to see this company now a shadow of it's former self. Very disappointed in current CEO - uninspiring "technical" mindset who lacks leadership and vision. Eliminating the North American outside sales organization was a desperate move for the company. These people had the relationships that the merchants trusted and could convert into new platforms.

I worked at LivingSocial for more than a year

    Pros

Great People, Motivating Work Environment, Fun Atmosphere, etc.

    Cons

Ill-guided management, lack of communication between departments, throw you into the fire and figure it out mentality, with-holding commission, and drinking way way too much--even for frat boys.
