I worked at Liz Claiborne full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Very exciting and dynamic work experience. I was very committed to the company for 10 years. They knew you and showed appreciation for any job well done

    Cons

It was sad to see the company make poor decisions on some of the brands they purchased and tried to develop. It is not the same company as when I worked there.

    Disapproves of CEO

    Pros

great discounts on a variety of brands. opportunity to work at a variety of stores. opportunity to learn different aspects of the retail world.

    Cons

The work/life balance is not respected and you are required to continually go above and beyond with no recognition for your efforts.

    Advice to Management

Respect ALL levels of employees. Don't treat people as if they are dispensible. You gain loyalty by treating people with respect.

    Doesn't Recommend

    Pros

The best thing about working for Lucky Brand is the discount, the employee gets 60% off anything bought themself and 40% something bought as a gift for someone else. If you are an associate working very part time Lucky Brand can be a fun and laid back place to work but don't try to get promoted and certainly don't have the desire to know what is going on in management, you will be disappointed and learn to hate the company

    Cons

Disresepect to all employees, the pay is not competetive, the upper management is not profesional, constant accusation of things you didnt do so they can try to admitt to something you did do even if you didn't do anything. they would rather hire outsaide the company then promote with in. Constant change in policy and proceedure, they have a low budget so they are constantly cutting hours of employees even if the employee is full time. I would not recomend this company to ANYONE!!!!

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees with respect and reward hard work. If you paid competetively you would have good employees who care and your profit will go and turn over will go down!
