Not A scam but I'll be honest.

      Pros

Earning Potential you can earn so much money it's a great environment good people. But there are bad seeds. Stay to yourself don't try and make friends there come in do what you have to do and leave. You can literally change your life in three months

      Cons

Long hours No life outside of work Excellent at motivation If your up for a challenge and or a high risk high reward type of career then AIL is the right place for you. For one it isn't a scam. You actually pay the $55 fee to the state thru the agency (Lloyd). Lloyd agencies is a life insurance agency under the AIL umbrella. Sabrina and Rob are very nice people. However it is sales and it is hard and If you aren't ready to put in the hours then don't take the job. There is no base its all commission but if you get a sale it's worth it. Residual income, excellent commission structure is what kept me motivated. They changed the bonus system is probably the best around but like I said before no base. I've seen people make 20,000 in a week so it is possible but like I said it's hard. If you don't mind working straight commission then this is the place for you. Stick it out because there are agents who make it and change there lives. The cars are there for a reason someone worked hard and if you are willing to then take the job. In conclusion you don't learn much about the overall the insurance industry if your making it here stick it out because it's gonna be harder someone else . But if your doing ok or not so good take your license and your work ethic to State Farm .

      Pros

      Can't think of any pros

      Cons

Poor training, bad management, dishonesty, extremely long hours 12+ a day, demanded to work seven days a week, must "donate" part of commissions to pay for upper management gifts as a way of "showing appreciation for giving you this opportunity"

Great Training! But no support system

      Pros

The way I was hired at Lloyd and Otto was through Career Builder You do get trained for two weeks on insurance industry centered around Life and Health products. You do pay for your temporary state license so you can sell insurance products when you finish training. You do get supplies, and video presentations as well as motivational speeches from the CEO. Your immediate supervisor is the GA's and SA's... take you on a hands on training so you can see how the process of selling insurance works. Your first deals are sold on your behalf by the GA's and SA's afterwards you begin selling on your own. You can make awesome pay every week when you close deals. Pay is done quickly when paper work goes in on Wednesday by Saturday (unless its a Holiday) you see you earnings direct deposit to your bank acct. If you don't have direct deposit then you are paid on monday by paper check. There is great responsibility in working for a company like this and many sacrifices you are going to make even in relationships.

      Cons

The con's of working for this particular agency which is funded by American Income Life; is something to consider if you are looking to work here 1. long hours and days- 12 hrs and 7 days a week (sunday is frowned upon if you don't work that day) 2. You don't get leads right away, you are to call your friends and family 3. You need to know your script or you will not get union leads, pos leads or referrals from the managers 4. You must wear the color scheme for the month or quarter 5. You must do booking nights and training on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays 6. You must pay for everything out of pocket... State Licensing training for $199, pay for the exam by the state of illinois $103, Pay for any company events such as contest, christmas parties, etc. 7. You pay for snacks that they sell for very high cost 8. You going to be cursed at and asked to book while music with curse words are playing in the background 9. You are going to be asked to say cursed words to show you agree with the CEO 10. You will be made in front of if you don't produced 11. If you have low self esteem it will get lower if you are not a top producer 12. Bottom line if you don't produced you will not be a valued agent worths training or being mentored. 13. You will be blamed for mistakes rather its yours or theirs 14. Lastly if you are married or have children or both you better prepare them that you will not be home for the majority of the time Its fast money with great bonuses that is supported by American Income Life. My advice is to got to the "torchmark website" and check out all their insurance companies so you can make a wise decision. You can become financially sound by selling Insurance but it takes time to build a clientele.

      Pros

The money to be made is definitely decent. If you have sales experience then this job is for you. The environment is amazing, they have different games once a week to excite the employees and treat them like a family.

      Cons

Long hours and frustrating at times. Management can be harsh and on top of you about things but ultimately they want success I guess.

Some form of potential for profits, if you're willing to aggressively pitch to family and friends.

      Cons

Long hours demanded, pushed to constantly suck family and friends into the fold. very little profit to be made. borderline cultish. Literally the worst AIL branch to work with
