I worked at Loblaw full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great work environment in terms of being at the forefront of IT initiatives in retail and a nice office to work from. Very good benefits.

    Cons

Always consider this short term employment. You are not likely to survive the October lay-offs for more than 3 years in a row. Your function in IT at Loblaw is to initiate and architect projects, transfer your experience to outsourcing firms and get terminated.

    Advice to Management

You'll need to do a lot better convincing IT staff to join full time positions given the temporary nature of roles at Loblaw.
