    Pros

9/80 Work Schedule (every other Friday off) never interrupted
Paid Holidays through Christmas and New Years
    Very talented workforce
Opportunities for lateral and upward mobility
    Fair wage increases/Performance Recognition

    Cons

Too many layers to get anything done

    Advice to Management

Empower your directs to allow them to make decisions as long as management is kept in the loop.
Reduce # of layers...too much bureaucracy
Don't treat CoA as the latest shiny new toy...use it!

    Pros

Great work and life balance and schedule flexibility
    Team environment with training opportunities

Include the upcoming generation in leadership positions to bring fresh perspectives to the company.

I worked at Lockheed Martin full-time

    Pros

Great Pay, very good benefits, awesome growth potential

    Cons

Not much, maybe management at times but that's mainly the proverbial bad apple you'll get anyplace. Non- management employees used to have to give 5 hours a week before overtime kicked in so that meant working 45 hours before you got paid for overtime basically gave a free 5 hours to the company.

    Advice to Management

Be transparent and open to your employees. If you think they don't know, they probably do and probably knew before you did, so be completely open and honest

I worked at Lockheed Martin full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

People are amazing to work with. Ultimate professionals, team works well together, good culture. Managers are overall very competent.
3 weeks of vacation to start, 1 week of sick time. Every other Friday off. Flextime-telecommuting privileges.
Promotions come from within almost always.

    Cons

LM micro-manages their employees to no end. It goes as far as asking its employees to sign out on a white board when they leave. Pay is horrible, if you start as a level 1 employee, they wont negotiate with you. Promotions are nonexistent until you hit year 3-4. Switching jobs internally is also nearly impossible with poor performance review. Human resources reps are dishonest and misleading. LM has become a stepping stone for me. It looks decent on a resume but cant see anyone working here long term unless you have your MBA.

    Advice to Management

When you have a poor manager/leader, relieve them of their duties sooner than later.
