I worked at Lockheed Martin full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Options to move around, good salary range, interesting hardware.

    Cons

Things can move very slowly, management isn't the greatest, most that are promoted into those roles are just on track to reach the next level. Work satisfaction is very dependent on the business unit and location you're working in.

    Advice to Management

Promote employee growth and work to help employee's find their niche, where they will be more productive and happy.

I worked at Lockheed Martin as a contractor (More than a year)

    Pros

People are great to work with. Pay and hours are good.

    Cons

Still has old school mentality, seniority is definitely still in effect. Hard to get hired unless you have family in management or have worked with management before.

    Advice to Management

Take another look at your contractors and either offer more contract extensions or a full time salary position. Retain the talent you already have. Beats burning time and money on more new hires when it comes to training them.

    Cons

    - Company doesn't invest in employees much (more worried about the bottom line)

    Advice to Management

Invest more in employees, and recruit new college grads harder.

    Pros

Diversity inclusion, company provides good opportunities, good benefits, competitive salary, provides international work and experiences, good travel opportunities.

They have lots of processes that can slow down overall productivity. I suppose it's expected, given their CMMI5 credentials. Management can also be a little rigid and lacks open mindedness
