Pros

LogicSource is owned by Bain Capital and had that exciting type of environment that start ups tend to have at the beginning of their journey. Amazing office (costed a fortune to build out), good benefits, a lot of passion. That didn't last however. But it was fun while it did.

Cons

Despite the massive funding, the business just never made money. The model wasn't scalable and the most valuable pieces of the business were driven out by the founders out of jealously. If I had to pinpoint one thing that permeated through the business it is this - instability. Employees never knew where they stood. It was a function primarily of the CEO, who was a very emotional and unstable guy to begin with. His penchant for talking behind people's backs created a culture that was very unhealthy.

Pros

Most folks doing the actual work are good people who are trying their best in a very difficult culture and environment.

Cons

All of LogicSource's issues track back to the management of the company. The culture of a business always comes from the top down and this company suffers from leadership lacking in transparency and honesty. There is an insecurity in the people at the top of this company that creates an environment of distrust, paranoia and back channeling. No one is ever really sure where they stand and the CEO talks so much behind people's backs that its hard to ever trust a word he says. Considering how long the company has struggled its really stunning that the team hasnt been switched out yet. The pay isnt competitive, the company has been saddled with one lawsuit after another. High level folks who provide value are routinely churned through by the C-level and the turnover in this business is higher than I have ever witnessed in my career. This company is all sizzle and no substance. Fancy offices, lots of blustery talk, but little in the way of real business. Its a house of cards.

Pros

Non NYC location You mostly get Saturday and Sunday's off Free parking Free lunch when there are town hall meetings Free beer on Friday afternoons - at least the management partakes while everyone else is working

Cons

Compensation, benefits, lack of leadership, lack of staff to perform work, no growth opportunity, management is the works I have ever seen in a company, any employee worth anything is overlooked, enormous turn-over, very little if any business growth. Management is so paranoid they track employees time like they are children, monitor computers, don't allow free thinking and are so critical of everything that it creates such a volatile workplace. Management consists of sales people. They over promise potential and existing clients things that they cannot deliver. Clients DO NOT renew their contracts of get out early (save 1 client) All too often there is no staff member in-house with any experience in the categories they are seeking to venture in to and it becomes pure chaos - including screaming and swearing to name a few psychotic behaviors that appear on a regular basis. The home office staff is miserable. They bide their time until something else comes up. This is done after accepting offers with much promise of growth opportunities, salary + bonus comp that never arise. Bad business practice with suppliers is paramount.
