I have been working at Logistic Services International full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Work hrs. The app wants me to write more for company pro's of working there but sorry cant find any.

    Cons

Not organized mismanaged, below average pay, bad health benifits package. They don't contribute to dental or vision. Mismanagement of to many areas cut into the already big profits and they feel the need to not take care of the employees with great benifits to save a buck.

    Advice to Management

Hire experience and get inventory and ordering under control. To high of profits not to be paying emp better and offer way better benifits. Companies with far leas profits doing far more for the employees!

I have been working at Logistic Services International full-time (More than 10 years)

I've worked here for over 10 years and it has been a great place. Although people come and go with contracts, a lot of them are happy to come back when there are new wins.

    Cons

Health benefit copays and deductibles have slowly increased over the years.

    Advice to Management

Management seems to be steering the company in the right direction.

I worked at Logistic Services International (Less than a year)

Before you sign on with LSI, know this.

LSI touts itself as “Employee Owned” and “Employee friendly”, but make no mistake, the senior staff will cut your throat at a moments notice to save theirs.

I was enticed to come on to a project because of one of my skills and one that they lacked. I was told to my face, after this one project of a certain type was finished, we’ll have other work for me to do. I was also told to my face, because it was an extremely complex “experiment”; “Don’t worry if this project fails. It’s only a proof of concept and your job doesn’t depend on it”… So like an idiot, I took them for their word without a contract, leased a condo and moved to Jacksonville.

A month later I had completed 90% of my portion of the project and it looked like it was going to succeed. A colleague of mine / manager was having more difficulty with his portion of the project due to a vendor and it looked like his side was not going to be successful. So guess what? They laid me off! (Probably so that senior manager could save face) Now, I’m stuck in a lease for 13k because I trusted them and wanted to help them, all under the auspices of “We’re benevolent people, we’re employee owned… Come work here and you’ll have a great time with us.”

*** Don’t be fooled into going to work way out at Cecil Field for LSI. They are cold blooded. Point blank. They’ll paint an awesome picture to get you to work for less money and then screw you. ***

    You’ve been warned.

    Advice to Management

If you look someone in the face and make a promise(s) to them, stand by your word(s).

I worked at Logistic Services International full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great people and the work is interesting if you have never been in the military.

    Cons

It is hard to advance despite your education level, unless you have been in the military. If non-military and female you may never move from your hired-in position. All management roles are filled by men (former military men).

    Advice to Management

Build a new organizational chart replacing names with gender, skills, and race and take a real look at what you have created and diversify your management structure with qualified people and offer true opportunities to all and watch your business expand.
