I have been working at Logistic Services International full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Our customers are the best reason to work here. Easy to get along with the work team. High level of technology.

    Cons

Top management could be more truthful. High tech. but low on the information side.

    Advice to Management

Work the project from top down and stop letting the lowest workers design, debug and iron out problems that should have been solved before taking the contract.

Thank you for your response. You are right, LSI is a great place to work. Hopefully with the buildup on 103rd we will see some new food places.

I have been working at Logistic Services International full-time for more than a year

    Pros

A company owned company allows you to have stake in it. Good people, laid back.

    Cons

The Mechanical engineering department, the salary is skewed compared to the electrical. This should be fixed if they want to have retention of employees.

    Advice to Management

Mechanical Engineering should get paid on the same spectrum as electrical in this company. ME is below Florida average, EE is above. Why?

I have been working at Logistic Services International full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Not much. Flexible schedules, mostly cool people. ESOP is ok. Monthly fundraisers for charities. PTO is pretty nice Wearing pants are nice but people who don't face customers on a regular basis should be allowed to wear shorts, especially in the summer (especially when our AC is always on the fritz..)

    Cons

The culture is the biggest one. It's such a boring culture. Very very very old school. If that's your speed, that's cool, but if you are younger than 35 you might want to take a good look at/ask around about the culture before going in If you like natural light, this company isn't for you, especially if you are upstairs. Some things are hectic to get done because the chain of command involved in decision making...

    Advice to Management

Learn from your mistakes from contracts you didn't win and maybe focus on smaller contracts too. We don't have to always go big or go home For a 'no politics or religion allowed!' rule you sure let people hang up pictures of trump/trump merchandise in cubes/allow politically charged stickers on cars and prayer at some of the events. It [specifically the politics-related stuff] have been making quite a few people uncomfortable...

I worked at Logistic Services International full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    Nothing is above average.

    Cons

The hire ups didn't seem to know what they were doing or didn't create enough plans for projects or contracts. Pay is below average for every position. The Hire ups only seemed interested in ESOPs for personal benefits and not a complete structure for the company. Overall the company has had good luck and bad endings on completing projects. Management seems to not understand all of the details of a contract before pursuing...

    Advice to Management

Learn how to effectively be competitive for salary for current employees and new employees. Aerospace contracts should be considered in a correct and orderly fashion. Apply actual engineers to projects instead of having chaos from drafters without a manufacturing background and allowing manufacturing to be changing every device for a contract to be different. Have actual engineering project managers to create effective...

I worked at Logistic Services International full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Fixed hours, no overtime, no working weekends

    Cons

Management lacks discipline, direction and efficiency

    Advice to Management

Not sure how to say this but the leadership here is failing on the manufacturing side of the house. Too many negative things to say about the company besides that they started the ESOP for ASI employees after taking over the buildings not on the first day of the year to include those employees into the program, but several days later so that their first year didn't count towards being vested. Sad, very sad. Now the...

    Pros

Relaxed, and they truly look out for the employees.

    Cons

Not much to say, I did not have the best experience starting out. it seems a little hectic at times. I'm not sure if management know what they are doing.

    Advice to Management

They need to look harder at the contracts before they take the money and make sure they plan how they will begin a project.
