I have been working at Logitech full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

--CEO is amazing and has built and incredible group of people around him (most since his arrival).
--All about the best talent--lots of telecommuting, video conferencing and various ways that are OK to work
--Big vision for the future; Logitech will surprise a lot of people with the future and changing the world
--Super multi-cultural. HQ in both Zurich and SVC
--Very open leadership and senior team

    Cons

--Some legacy folks/leaders need to get up to speed with the new Logitech versus old school CE (forget it is about SVC and being progressive versus old school ideas)
--Trying hard to make feel smaller but the reality is that it is a global company (pro and con)

    Advice to Management

Keep it up and even move faster!

    I worked at Logitech full-time

    Pros

Very product focused culture. Employees are passionate about the products. It's fun to work in an environment where you can easily relate to, and use, the products. It's also easy to share what you do with friends outside the company since nearly everyone is familiar with at least some of the products.
Good CEO. Very down to earth and approachable and focused on driving the long-term success of the company,
Strong financials and a disciplined spending culture.

    Cons

The majority of the company's sales still come from products developed going back as far as 3-4 years ago and the company is still dependent on the success of the PC industry. It's not clear that they are capable of developing innovative new products that can replace the workhorses in the line-up. While the PC industry looked like it was dying several years ago, things have stabilized and the company benefits from that.
The company, like most other relatively big companies in the US, preaches a "small-company" mantra on a regular basis. Somewhat ironic that the CEO and CFO have no true "small-company" experience. The whole thing can feel like lipservice at times.

    Advice to Management

Find new growth drivers that consumers care about as much as they do the old ones and don't assume that talking about innovation actually leads to exciting new products that people are willing to buy.

I have been working at Logitech full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Awesome CEO and company vision.
New HR head and CEO have a vision for a great company and progress is apparent. Infusion of talent and new focus on design brings a progressive perspective to the company.

    Cons

Lack of patience from employee base. Logitech is not a software company with guaranteed revenue for years to come, but rather a product company situated in Silicon Valley. Employees who recognize this difference can be patient and work to support the change in the corporate culture.

    Advice to Management

Balance. It's great to be cost conscious but not at the sake of progress.

I have been working at Logitech full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Great Products
Reasonable work/life balance. Options to work from home if needed
New CEO is trying to change the culture for better

    Cons

    Slow or No personal growth
A lot depends on what group you join (if it is a priority for management you are in luck otherwise expect to be squeezed )
Some poor senior level manager to watch out for.

I have been working at Logitech (More than a year)

    Pros

Great company with a long history.
Current CEO has right ideas and driving them to change the company's culture.
New hires are mostly awesome people and want to make a change.
    Benefits are really competitive

    Cons

Still a lot of old time, old mentality people are present. They are unwilling to move and change to follow the leadership. Unwilling to learn new technologies and collaborate with new hires. Company needs to go through couple more cleaning cycles before it can truly change its culture. Your success really depends on the team you end up at. If it's one of the new fields, you'll be treated very well and given a lot of opportunities... If the field is very established - get ready to learn some old school techniques.

    Advice to Management

Although the new company's culture is "Move fast. Speak up. Decide and own. Drive change..." and so forth, it's impossible to do while decision makers are not willing to listen to new hires, regardless of their experience. Some decisions are not communicated really well and leave employees hanging, like what just happened and what does it mean for me and my career?

I have been working at Logitech full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

-Great CEO and leadership team–extremely dedicated and approachable
-Strong focus on company culture and "staying small"
-Keen eye toward on growth and future outlook
    -Diverse portfolio
    -Opportunities for lateral moves

    Cons

-Company culture is great... but only in some parts of the company
-Multiple management structures can impede productivity
    -Business growth outpacing hiring

    Advice to Management

Logitech overall has a great company culture, but experience varies drastically depending on the team. The company needs to do more to reconcile these differences and eliminate old school corporate bureaucracy.

I have been working at Logitech full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

+ CEO is inspiring, accessible, and rallied around
+ Great products (#1 player in most categories, and categories range)
+ Lots of innovation (50% of Rev comes from New Categories launched in last 5 yrs)
+ International culture: lots of different languages, accents, and backgrounds makes for interesting lunch/dinner conversations
+ Opportunity for work/life balance (I read mixed reviews on this work/life before joining, but I feel that if you perform well and clearly signal your vacation time you can have a good balance, relative to my previous employers)

    Cons

    - Newark is not the most accessible headquarters (not near BART / bad commute roads)
    - Compensation is slightly lower than top-tier tech firms; we have lost of our best people to higher-paying opportunities (on a per-hour of work basis, it may be higher)
    - flat organization structure is a double-edged sword, more opportunities to grow internally but less opportunities to market oneself publicly (IMHO this is actually a pro, but feel this is worth mentioning for job-seekers)

    Advice to Management

    1. Love the effort taken to share the vision with the team (AMA, Huddles, etc). Keep it up.
    2. Internal tools are not good. Investing in better tools will improve efficiency and also help attract/retain better people (which is worth the turnover of people who don't want to deal with change)

    Doesn't Recommend
    Neutral Outlook

    I worked at Logitech full-time

    Pros

If they have a problem, they are hiring

    Cons

Continuing cuts in IT make it hard to get much done

    Advice to Management

Data is an investment, not a cost.
