Doesn't RecommendNeutral OutlookNo opinion of CEOI worked at Loma Linda University Health full-time for more than a year
Pros
good health benefits (vision/dental not so much), some good people work here in the supporting departments.
Cons
Leadership is weak and do not make any good decisions. Good talent is constantly lost and pay is ridiculously low for the hospitals and for shared services. If you are SDA, then you will be promoted to a role you are unqualified for, and ZERO effort is put into developing team members or even introducing best practices to the organization. Leadership isn't even aware of the problems and acts surprised when issues come to light. Learning from their mistakes is just a phrase they utter every time they make the same damn mistakes over and over again.

"STEER CLEAR IT'S A CULT"

Doesn't RecommendNegative OutlookDisapproves of CEOI have been working at Loma Linda University Health full-time for more than a year
Pros
Not many, but by the looks of this page they're making employees/HR write positive reviews to improve their image from all the lawsuits they have from hurting people
Cons
Loma Linda University and the Medical Center are just fronts for the Seventh Day Adventist SDA CULT. They're really strict and controlling, characteristic of cults, and care about their bottom line. Management have really shady business practices and take advantage of poor, elderly, and disabled patients, commit insurance fraud by billing for unnecessary services, and there have been many lawsuits against them for issues like neglect and other patient care violations. Just research/Google lawsuits against the Loma Linda University Medical Center and you'll see for yourself. Being an employee here is miserable, as working here means seeing patients getting treated badly and taken advantage of and HR works for them so there's not much relief except to leave. They'll neglect patients, bill for unnecessary services, and then management will start each meeting with a prayer and say God Bless you this and that. They're delusional. Limited upward mobility unless you're part of the Seventh Day Adventist cult. They promote a healthy/happy smiley image of themselves and try to promote this vision for 2020 and a new children's hospital, but I would NEVER entrust the health of my family and children to their care. They're all about the money, bottom line, and advancing their cult. I've heard really racist comments made at work as well. STEER CLEAR OF THE LOMA LINDA/SDA CULT FOR YOUR OWN SAKE. SEEK EMPLOYMENT ELSEWHERE. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.

Doesn't RecommendNeutral OutlookNo opinion of CEOI worked at Loma Linda University Health
Pros
If your team make goal, you might get free lunch or wear jeans on Friday. Affordable insurance but you have to travel to Lona Linda for service
Cons
Low pay. Can not use sick time unless you accumulate 120 hrs sick time (take 3 years to get that). Nepotism. If you are not SDA, you are second class citizen. Work life balance is non existent. They expect you to work long hours if you are non exempt but the moment you take several days off for medical problem (using your own PTO, because it is difficult to use sick time), you will get into problem with your supervisor. Short staff but have a lot of director , VP, managers (the majority of them are SDA) . A lot of house keeping is going around. If you are on FMLA, you will get cut if you do not get back to work after 6 months. They don't care that you have cancer. "Doing God's work and make man whole" is their mission statement. What a statement.

Doesn't RecommendNeutral OutlookNo opinion of CEOI worked at Loma Linda University Health full-time for more than a year
Pros
Great Team and Coworkers, truly care for patients
Cons
Horrible Management. You will not get ahead unless you are SDA religious, HR will not assist in issues if they are a member of the church.

Doesn't RecommendNeutral OutlookNo opinion of CEOI worked at Loma Linda University Health full-time for more than a year
Pros
Some of the staff was loving, lots of work if you love your job as I did, and flexible work schedule.
Cons
Very low pay when you are doing the job of four people, some of the employees in Finance will stab you in the back for sure, employees over seven years do very little work while managers do most of the work, financial analyst have no excel skills and can only do what they were trained to do, moral is very low, employees don't trust management and management don't trust employees, no room for advancement unless you are SDA then you are promoted even if you do deserve it, they bring in consultants to clean up the accounting because the employees can't/will not do the work and then let them go instead of hiring them because they are not SDA, my advice would be to look for other employment because they will suck the life and happiness out of an employee.

RecommendsNeutral OutlookNo opinion of CEOI have been working at Loma Linda University Health full-time for more than a year
Pros
The faculty are helpful, you will have lots of exposure to interesting cases. The nurses during the day are very knowledge and helpful .
Cons
It's very inclusive to other seventh day Adventist members. I have seen that people who should not be residents at Loma Linda caliber where allowed in because they went to the Loma Linda university medical school or where SDA.
