    Pros

Despite senior management, there were some great people to work with

    Cons

Senior management treat people terribly, I didn't experience it personally but the top-down culture was a driver for my departure and there has been a high turnover in the London office in 2017 and 2018
It is not an environment where career development is fostered; you are there to do a job and counsel is not accepted
Senior management have little strategic capability; during my tenure every three months the focus would change and senior management's investment banking mentality does not lend itself to building a long-term business in asset management

    Advice to Management

    Good luck!

    Pros

They hire people with good experience.

    Cons

Erratic top management. Focus changes constantly making things very confusing, rather than taking on new products they should work on the ones they already have. managers need to take courses in people management. It’s a very toxic environment with a lot of backstabbing and bullying and no one is safe. You can’t come with constructive criticism or question anything for the fear of losing your job. The role you were hired for won’t necessarily be what you end up doing. There is a lot of sexism as women are treated differently from men which is reflected in their salaries and it’s very much a boys club. There’s very high turnover of staff which is very unsettling. Top management keeps talking about retention but that seems very hollow as I’ve seen so many colleagues disappear from one day to the next since I started.
I regret taking this role and I know many other colleagues who do that too. Wouldn’t recommend working here and regret taking the role.

    Advice to Management

Practice what you preach when it comes to retention. Work on developing people and pay fair bonuses to mid-level and junior staff. Don’t just compensate senior staff. Stop encouraging a toxic, sexist culture that encourages bullying. Don’t hire people under false pretenses.

I worked at Lombard Odier full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

The colleagues are mostly nice and quite skilled.
The cafeteria is good but expensive.

    Cons

The poor quality management and its lack of outlook.
Mobbing is considered a standard in this gloomy and bleak private bank.
Very closed and obsolete corporate culture.
    No perspective of development.
They cannot not afford to pay licenses.
Salaries and bonuses have been regularly decreased over years for most employees.
The company has been struggling bad to survive further to the end of the Swiss banking privacy. It will surely not survive for very long

    Advice to Management

take care of youe employees as if they were your best and only asset.
Start working more, vacation should be over for you!
