    Pros

Work from home, reasonable working hours with little to no overtime, great benefits, great pay, wonderful co-workers

    Cons

Very metric driven, productivity goals seemed slightly unrealistic, some members of management were challenging to work with.

Would not recommend to a friend due to instability and uncertain future.

    Advice to Management

Make sure everyone is on the same page, get back to your employees in a timely manner, and treat everyone with respect (client's and employees)

    Pros

pretty much a dead end career wise

    Cons

Management is selling everyone out and the entire company is either offshored or in the process of being offshored. This was a family type culture at one time and some employees may still operate under that illusion but they need to wake up and realize that LTCG is on a race to the bottom and layoffs will continue

    Advice to Management

    yuck

I worked at Long Term Care Group full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Lots of PTO
    Excellent dental and eye coverage
    Other competitive benefit options
Multiple offices in the metropolitan area
    Some work from home opportunities

    Cons

Some supervisors unnecessarily micro manage their team members.
Office morale was particularly low when I left.
Opportunity for advancement can be greatly hindered by a simple early on mistake.
    Pay scale is pretty low.
    Insufficient training provided.
No onsite HR person for the Woodbury office, nor will an HR person typically be available for an in person sit down.
Work from home opportunities will be used as a pawn to get you to put in overtime etc.
Too cheap to bring in a new employee and have to train a new individual so they will keep dead weight employees on despite their productivity.

    Advice to Management

Take the time to properly train your employees for their positions. You should make an onsite HR person available at every office.

    Pros

    Generous vacation time. Competitive wages.

    Cons

Horrible management to include the CEO, SVPs, and direct management.

Completely unreasonable and unrealistic production expectations.

Outsourcing of various jobs (to include clinical review of incoming documentation) to India and the Philippines.

Management does not follow up or follow through. Management is, often, condescending and not receptive to employees concerns.

    No training.

    Advice to Management

    Get it together.

I have been working at Long Term Care Group full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Enjoy working with most of my co-workers. Flexible work environment. Adequate pay and benefits. Good vacation time and allowed/encouraged to use it.

    Cons

Management says the right things, but does the opposite. Employee participation in decisions is not allowed, let alone encouraged. The company now only cares about short term money. Used to care about long term and people too. There is little or no internal opportunity. Many times they don't even post jobs. No feeling of job security - too much outsourcing and secrecy. Feels like another company I worked for just before they locked the doors.

    Advice to Management

Find some leadership with purpose other than the GL. Find some balance. I know you think you are preparing the books for sale, but you will have to find a stupid buyer because you are tearing the heart out.

    Pros

Close to home, Christmas Party, free Coffee

    Cons

Psycho managers who need to be committed, if you have a difference of opinion...you get dinged on your QA, heavy metrics, town halls are a huge waste of your day, customer service calls and answering for those co-workers who don't answer their phone and you get the people upset....yet they keep their job? Unrealistic goals in the timeframe. I worked so many hours unpaid to keep up. Run! It's a sinking ship!

    Advice to Management

Care more about your employees, get your heads out of unrealisticville!

    Pros

    Monday thru Friday
    Paid on time
LTCG really put things into perspective for me like: do not to take the great job i have now for granted.

    Cons

The people who train you are very nice, but they couldn't even take a phone call because they wouldn't know what to do. So you spend two weeks learning about company history instead of getting prepared for your role.
If you are really good they will assign you off the phone work to do. You will not get time off the phones to complete it or get a raise, but you have to figure out a way to do the work. Fun stuff.
We used to only take 20% of the phone calls of a highly respected LTC Company, then we took over 100% of the calls (because LTCG is pennies on the dollar cheaper with their workers and processes) and drove that company's respected reputation right into the ground. I guess you do get what you pay for.
If you take pride in your work, and are a great employee, do not waste your time.
    Any good employee leaves.
I left on good terms, so im not bitter or salty, this is just 100% pure honesty.
Oh and the pay is terrible.
If i could put zero stars i would've put that.
There's plenty more to be said, but i dont want to come off as mean.

    Advice to Management

Start over. From the top down this company needs a complete overhaul.
Mgmt is always in meetings thru out the day which accomplishes nothing. Which is not there fault. LTCG needs to truely care about customer service. They say they do, but actions speak more then words. All the company cares about is answering the phone calls within 30 seconds or whatever the SL goal is. Doesnt matter to them if customers have to call back 15 times to resolve an issue, as long as LTCG answers those phone calls within 30 seconds! Commuication between departments is non existent and its always an 'us vs them' mentality between depts. There is no team work.
And there is plenty more issues and i dont have all the answers, but whats even more troublesome is that LTCG is absolutely ok running like this.
