    Pros

Every other weekend you get Friday, Saturday, Sunday off. 15-20 minute breaks every two hours. Time goes fast when busy. No drama at this work place. Show up do your work and go home. Everybody works very well together. Over half the work force is going to retire in the next 3 years so lots of advancement options coming up.

    Cons

Hours can be long with not a lot to do. Allot of standing around. Job is really easy as a helper just have to stand around and watch allot which can be mentally draining.

    Advice to Management

No advice to manager. Everybody really does work together very well at loparex

I have been working at Loparex full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Everyone works with each other to make proper coverage. Information and training is readily available.

    Cons

Equipment and process lines are almost 50 years old with technologies from every decade. Pay scale is becoming less competitive and benefits are expensive.

I have been working at Loparex full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Engineers and operators can have a very real, very positive impact on production processes. People are only held responsible for items under their control. The company is extremely concerned with personal safety. The company is also more concerned with identifying the path forward than determining where blame sits.

    Cons

Some of the machinery is starting to show its age, which can be challenging.

    Advice to Management

Take a look at how employees are evaluated vs. the short and long term interests of the company. Some of the incentives seem mis-targeted.

Good benefits. People were great. Compensation was "competitive"

    Cons

Depending on your department, not a lot of advancement opportunities.

    Pros

Some of the best people you'll find on the floor, they're hard-working and really go the extra mile. They have a great benefits package that starts on the first day.

    Cons

This is a very fast-paced environment. They don't give much training and you're expected to know a lot coming in. The management is somewhat ok, but is very cold and treats you like you're not valuable.

    Advice to Management

Treat people better. Get to know the people that work with you and treat them better and more fairly. The folks that work there are adults and should be treated as such.

    Pros

Small plant, easy to put names with faces and get to know people. Good pay for an intern. Manufacturing floor was clean

    Cons

I didn't really have any as an intern, it was all a worthwhile experience and I learned something every day.

I worked at Loparex (More than a year)

    Pros

You get hours and overtime every other pay. 2-2-3's if you like them hours..

    Cons

2 weeks on days and 2 weeks on nights every two weeks takes a toll on your body, family and free time.

    Advice to Management

Don't toss your best people around like ragdolls and give them the pay they deserve for what they do. Otherwise nice place to work and continue working.

I worked at Loparex full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Good location. In fact location is its best quality with exception to the area school systems. Compensation is fair, but you'll pay for it. Considering the newness of the facility and the consolidation of the industry the facility is likely to be around for a while. Some of the immature management has been removed.

    Cons

Long hours does not allow family / life balance. Lack of knowledge and experience in management results in poor direction and questions about ethics. Lack of access to quality support when facing technical problems.

    Advice to Management

It is easier to attract and keep talented people once you consider people as your most valuable asset. That quality could turn things around.

    Good benefits

    Cons

Long hours due to lots of projects and high expectations
Disjointed systems between corporate and plants cause problems
    Lack of training program

    Advice to Management

Provide more training for mid-level managers and employees
Listen to mid-level managers about difficulties and problems when they come up
