I worked at Loras College (More than a year)

    Pros

I met some really great people while working in the Admission Office at Loras. There was always something to do or learn about. Robbie Stran was my boss, and that man is amazing.

    Cons

For the amount of money you make, the hours are long. You need to be passionate about what you are working towards. But if you have the passion, the hours are absolutely worth it.

    Advice to Management

Seriously, my advice is never let go of Robbie. He is the backbone, heart and soul of the Admission Office.

    Pros

The benefits the college offer are amazing, from they're overmatch 401k, to tuition reimbursement, loras knows how to take care of their employees.

    Cons

Depending on the department you are in, I understand some of the management can be hard to work with; however, that is not the case for me and there are many very good leaders at this institution.

    Advice to Management

From what I understand (only being employed here a year) raises have been few and far between in the past decade for staff. It would be nice if that changed.
