I worked at Lorna Jane for more than a year

    Pros

you have a job i suppose.

    Cons

    - You get "25% off" wow... personal trainers and anyone in the industry get 20% off.... would rather be a pt and get 20% than deal with anyone from lorna jane again - incentive vouchers are a nightmare to track down... if you sell $500 worth of clothing you get a $25 voucher... still owed from november-still calling regional managers and head office which can't even have the decency to return my calls or texts -kilometres...

    Advice to Management

think about how you treat your staff. A little something a christmas as a gift to each member of staff or random appreciation would be nice. not just a 160g packet of allens lollies for christmas for the store.

I have been working at Lorna Jane

    Pros

    -some very nice casual staffs

    Cons

    - all the managers are very unreasonable and rude to their casuals/ part time employees - they boss you around and it's very rude of them - lack of manners and education - very structured company ( everything I say is scripted) - get told off for doing the right things - worst job I've had I am a very positive person and I feel like I have to think twice before I say anything to the customers. I worked at Lorna Jane

    Pros

The clothes are stylish, and the initial discount is good (40%) considering that you are "encouraged" (bullied) into wearing new stock, however the staff discount after your first purchase goes down to 25% which is quite dismal considering you're expected to wear product.

    Cons

I found my particular store in Brisbane to be abysmal at running a store. From my very first day I was expected to stand on the door and walk around the mall to force customers to take a catalogue which many then threw on the ground or in the bin in front of me. This was called "Mall Centre Activating" aka Bullying people into entering the store. From the moment customers enter the store they are forced into speaking...

    Advice to Management

You need to hire managers with experience, not nasty recent Human Resources graduates. You must be more understanding of students who have many commitments and cannot be expected to partake into many hours of unpaid online training which you aren't allowed to do on the registers when the store is quiet.
