    Pros

With the right leadership you have to potential to grow and excel in this company, at the end of the day it comes down to having a great manager. Open communication is the key to drive this business. In store you have the freedom to own your business, contribute your ideas, and influence your customer on a higher level -- that most companies are unable to do. The work atmosphere is comfortable and team members...

    Cons

Miscommunication or not enough information before promotions roll out. It seems like offers and policy's are just thrown into perspective without deep thought. Turnover rate: stop promoting just to promote some people are not ready for certain roles. It speaks volumes when stores become understaffed due to an associate leaving because they were overwhelmed by the work load.

    Advice to Management

    You're doing better.

I worked at Lorna Jane full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Impressive products and some great co-workers. Enjoyed my boss and my team. Opened up doors for to new fitness opportunities in my personal life.

    Cons

Too many unrealistic expectations set by people in corporate who have never run one of these stores. The “tools” given to stores are not usually highly beneficial. ZERO marketing strategy for stores outside of having staff pass out catalogs which is near impossible without a full team. We are expected to use our personal vehicles to drive sales at “trunk shows” with little to NO reimbursement for gas or damages. Department...

    Advice to Management

Listen to the people actually serving your customers and treat them with respect and recognize their efforts. Your store teams make you the dollars. Get consistent. Keep making good active wear.

    Pros

    Great Product and Great People!

    Cons

Employee discount is less than any other fitness professional off the street. They value these “fitness professionals” more than their own employees! We work hard and need to wear the brand to sell it but only get a small 30% discount on product while they now offer a nice 50% off to Active Elites! This is horrible news for us but great news for all the personal trainers and class instructors out there! You won’t be seeing...

    Advice to Management

Give your employees a comparable discount! Other like minded brands do so much more for their employees. Get a clue!

I worked at Lorna Jane full-time

    Pros

Small company. For the office workers not to demanding. Amazing warehouse team. Frequent company parties.

    Cons

Small company. Upper management is very poor. All instructions taken from Australia for the American side of the business. Owner is a sexiest, brand is over priced .

    Advice to Management

Needs to have a backbone and not allow employees to be abused by owner. Need to make own decisions for the business.

I have been working at Lorna Jane full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Great activewear! Great company message (positivity and women empowerment). Started off in a very supportive environment...

    Cons

Management needs to be better trained to hold manager titles. Constant calls from "daily sales" about 2-5x per day with pressure on sales and the company questioning why "YOU" are not bringing in more people. Attributing bad traffic to your contribution, which is not the case. Positions aren't clear when you are hired. They ask you to do outside marketing for the company and trunk shows but there is no extra pay involved...

    Advice to Management

Create seminars or workshops for managers to develop their management abilities. Create a company policy that includes more transparency. Understand that the Australian business cannot be ran the same as the American business and visa versa. These are two different countries with a different market and structure. This is a retail position (for the stores), make sure to keep schedule flexible and work with your employees....
