I worked at Lorna Jane full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    Being around health and wellness.

    Cons

I worked at Lorna Jane for 3 years and put so much time, dedication, and love into this job with horrible pay especially in a city where cost of living is pricey. I worked at 3 different locations. One being high volume which was great when I started as an Assistant Manager with a great manager and district leader training me. I wanted the opportunity to move to a different state...

    Advice to Management

Stay in Australia. Too many competitors and better product in the US aka Lululemon. Clear indication when your CEO has to borrow $$ from your Australian market to keep stores afloat here.

I have been working at Lorna Jane full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

You get to wear active wear daily! You work along side amazing women who have have the same values as you and believe in a healthy lifestyle. With hard work you have the opportunity to grow your career. Lorna Jane challenges you in different ways than any other company and if you are open to thinking outside the box you can have a lot of fun and success.

    Cons

Australia runs the business and are clueless when it comes to the US market. Stock! We don’t have enough and lose sales daily because we can’t service our customers.

    Advice to Management

Put someone in corporate who understands the US business. Give the US as much attention as Australia.

I worked at Lorna Jane full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Some of the tights are really great quality. They use very nice fabrics.

    Cons

To many cons to list.. If you are thinking of applying here - dont. Just run away. Pay is awful. Parking is not covered for employees - even when parking is close to $20 a day. This company expects a ton of off the clock work which you will not be compensated for and will be punished if you do not do it. You are required to use your personal vehicle for company purposes without reimbursement for gas. This company...

I worked at Lorna Jane full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

A sub-par paycheck. Health coverage. Sick pay (IF) they allow you to be sick. Vacation WHEN it's not on TONS of black-out periods. Some girls are fabulous and become even MORE fabulous when they leave Lorna Jane. For the unknowing customers these ladies can be wonderful. Some NOT all.

    Cons

From the outside Lorna Jane seem to represent everything empowering about a female lifestyle brand. You've just bought into the brands marketing and its powerful lie. Once you're in the door the nightmare sets in. Read through the reviews. Bullying, harassing, manipulating. Stress. Mind games. Competitiveness and vying and gossiping against other co-workers. Laws disregarded...

    Advice to Management

You wouldn't heed any advice anyway. None. Just stop breaking every single law that governs a woman's right to thrive and be healthy and happy in your workplace. Stop inflicting the horrendous volume of pain, bullying and suffering upon these girls who make Lorna so incredibly rich. And for the love of God let them go the bathroom when they need to.

I worked at Lorna Jane full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Fun company to work for. Never required or asked more than 40 hrs, which is unusual for a retail job. Employees really passionate about what they do. Inspiring women to be happy and healthy is very rewarding. It's a corporation but each store is treated like a franchise so that the best customer outreach is achieved.

    Cons

Company doesn't care to understand the U.S. market since based out of Australia. Customer Service never answers phone calls or emails on time to help customers while in store or online. Upper management does not support the store level with insubordination issues or customer concerns. Marketing materials are always late, makes the job of selling items harder when you have to leave the store to represent the brand. The...

    Advice to Management

Better training for all employment levels in the stores. Try to think like a customer who's you want to come back don't think like a money hungry giant from across the pond.

I worked at Lorna Jane full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Created an amazing client base of women who loved shopping with me at the store. Had a nice team of girls working for me!

    Cons

Too many cons to type.I know many people in the company feel the same. Starting with our discount, we only receive 30% off product, trainers receive 20% off. Not very fair! As a manager I was required to wear Lorna Jane and was insulted by upper management when a tiny logo of another brand I had on the end of my jacket was showing. Lorna Jane...

I have been working at Lorna Jane

    Pros

Absolutely love working here. Started out as an Active Stylist in the store level, and was able to grow and get a full time position in the home office. This company truly has pushed my learning abilities, and I am learning something new every day when I am here! Whether it's regarding health and fitness, or regarding my position knowledge and skills, this company has so much room for growth, I even recommended two of...

Small kitchen, but we make it work! A dishwasher would be nice to have and maybe a smoothie blender! Also, the office tends to get cold at certain times of the day, but it's nothing too serious. The work environment here is very clean, healthy, and safe regardless.

    Cons

Disorganized and not very operational:  For example In the several years I was a team member the company was constantly changing its processes for mileage, supply ordering, recruiting exc.. not because they were finding consistent ways of doing things but instead changing processes recklessly with poor communication at the store level. poor communication:  Because Lorna Jane...

    Pros

You can wear active wear to work and occasionally get free workouts.

    Cons

    - Management does not consider their employees when they make decisions. It's all about the dollar - Poor wages, poor benefits, no reviews, no recognition program or bonuses. They use their employees to build the business and do not value or invest in them - Sub par communication. Not only are emails not responded to in a timely manner (if at all) but when changes happen in the business the team isn't notified. For...
