    Pros

i have had the pleasure to work with a great professor as my supervisor. That mean all my professional needs were met, and i was allowed to take the time required to ensure a good balance between my personal life. a number of opportunities were given to me allowing me to complete my PhD even ahead of schedule

    Cons

being a PhD student, your time at Loughborough might very well rely on working with a good supervisor. if you are unlucky enough to get a supervisor who has no time for you or does not stop to think about your needs as a person and student, and instead demands that you do as they say, it can be very very taught to complete successfully your research within the 3 years, and you will definitely not enjoy it

    Advice to Management

provide anonymous reviews by researchers on how friendly and easy to work with supervisors are. i have heard so many sad stories from students who are really desperate but can not do much about it

I have been working at Loughborough University full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    1. good environment for study and research, very quite campus, with a lot of green.

    2. strong in engineering related area and of course the sports.

    Cons

Town centre is small. So you might find a bit different if you come from London, Manchester for example.

    Advice to Management

Keep it up. Be more open minded.

    Pros

Provide good employee training and skill expansion. Nice employee benefits - a lot of holiday days. Nice responsive HR staff for any queries.

    Cons

Nothing in particular, just a big university. Loughborough town itself is very student dominated as expected but that is nothing against the employer.

Very approachable Vice Chancellor and senior team

    Cons

Nothing negative to note. Shame that the University doesn't have a law school
