    Pros

Some of the greatest people and projects I've worked with.

    Cons

Some management problems, but it depends on the department. Losing good people due to management issues and turnover creates project problems.

    Advice to Management

I have been working at Louis Berger full-time

    Pros

    -Tight-knit team environment
-My manager truly cares about our team members' career progression and development
-Provided with autonomy to execute my job the way I see being most effective, yet still provided with any support I need when unsure of how to navigate a situation or task
-Excellent work/life balance. I come in and leave at a very reasonable time and do not stress about work when I'm not at the office

    Cons

The environment is a little stuffy, but they are making strides to improve this, ie creating a collaborative work space/lounge, bolstering the health & wellness program with fun events and initiatives, etc.

    Advice to Management

Keep asking your employees for feedback and you will continue to see positive changes.

I worked at Louis Berger full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Opportunities to work on some very interesting, complex, and high-profile projects. Lots of smart people. A select handful of exceptional senior managers who take mentoring seriously. Good learning opportunity from a knowledge material standpoint and in terms of learning how a large corporate enterprise functions. If you are at the junior or mid level and you work hard, you will be compensated by receiving roles on some really compelling projects (just don't expect to be compensated monetarily).

    Cons

No discernible commitment to developing and promoting talent from within the organization. Vacancies in management at mid-level and higher typically filled from outside the organization. Junior and mid-level employees are squeezed hard for productivity and utilization while increases in compensation seem to fall to management. Benefits about average, but pay substantially below market. Poor work-life balance. Corporate culture and mentality is "live-to-work" versus "work-to-live." Working here requires excessive diligence and savvy so you can see the bus coming before you're thrown under it.

    Advice to Management

Consider listening more to the feedback of junior and mid-level staff. It is helpful for employee morale and retention, and can actually yield some useful input.
