I have been working at Lowe's full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Pay is better than Home Depot, Menards, or most other retailers in general.

    Cons

I had virtually NO training, yet I'm the only employee at my store capable of doing my job. After 4.5 years of working full-time, my pay rate is exactly the same of the most recent part-time hire who only shows up for half of her shifts.

    Advice to Management

Value the employees you rely on the mosy.

    I worked at Lowe's full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Great career opportunity, benefits, room to grow ... ect

    Cons

It was a hostile work environment when I quit at this location. I was very sad to go but management staff was out of control. Out of my 9 years with Lowe's, it ready is a great company to work for. I believe the store manager got fired not to long after I jumped ship and some other managers quit as well from what I heard.

    Advice to Management

Management needs to work more on being a team

I have been working at Lowe's full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Good pay compared to similar places. Work around your school schedule. Decent insurance, match 401k, and discounted stock for full time employees.

    Cons

Occaconal "bad egg", can turn a department on its head. Getting a raise is like pulling teeth. New ideas don't seem encouraged.

    Advice to Management

Help younger employees see that this can turn into a career. Show us some success stories of employees who started as seasonal or part-time, worked their way up the ranks, and are currently managers.
