    I worked at Lowe's part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Had flexible hours and was able to work at least 40 a week if I wanted. Worked with you on how much you wanted to work. Very easy to pick up with very little training. Good for people who enjoy hands on training. Long breaks 15 minutes every 4 hours and an hour for lunch.

    Cons

Depending on how your store is doing in sales determines how long they keep seasonal workers for the summer so you might find yourself without a job for the last month or so of the summer.

    I worked at Lowe's full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Team based work helps the day go by easier

    Cons

The constantly shifting schedule is a drag.

    Advice to Management

As long as you don't breathe down the necks of employees, you can't really do too much wrong by your team. If you share the burden with the employees, they'll love you for it.

    I have been working at Lowe's part-time

    Pros

Best managers I have ever met in retail. Real people who care.

    Cons

They are very busy and so training may end up having to be self-driven. Great for learners, difficult for people without drive.

    Advice to Management

    Keep putting employees first.

I have been working at Lowe's full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

This job has good pay good benefits for full time. Lots of good hearted people to work with. I have been with lowes for almost four years in a variety of positions. Also easy to transfer if you have to move

    Cons

Watch out for what seems like constant restructuring. No position or job is ever safe. Always take the opportunity to move up in structure.

    Advice to Management

Continue to develop employees while maintaining a focus on customers. Do not let call-ins or short staffing be an excuse for sub par service.

I have been working at Lowe's part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Genuinely friendly, caring, helpful associates. The vetting process works very well and associates hired are the finest people anyone could ask to work with.

    Cons

Lowes has changed their hiring principles and maintaining a full time position or becoming full time is now very competitive and ruthless. Many dedicated employees have been forced to leave and those remaining are overwhelmed and stressed

    Advice to Management

You have good, loyal, genuinely people loving local minded professionals willing to give their time and advice to customers who seek their knowledge and appreciate them. You will loose sales if you eliminate this structure
