    Pros

I love everyone I work with. It gives you an opportunity to move and learn different departments. Also if you like interacting with customers its great.

    Cons

Being part time they really cut your hours. Starting out the kind of those you into it, which it's not a place you could learn without seeing it done.

    Advice to Management

    Bring back department managers

    I worked at Lowe's part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good staff to work with, great training program, on the job training, management is easy to talk to and understanding.

    Cons

Departments are understaffed often at the busiest times.

    Advice to Management

Have adequate amount of employees scheduled during the busy times because customers become dissatisfied quickly waiting on one person.

    I worked at Lowe's part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    - Good Pay: Of all my part time CSA jobs, this paid the most in my experience.

    - Let you focus on your job: Some CSA jobs will need you to handle several store duties in the same day, or even the same hour. You might be cleaning a mess one minute, then helping unload a new shipment, and then back on the front Register. At Lowes, I'd have one duty, which I would do every day, unless I requested to switch.

    Cons

Lack of training: Many customers expected me to be particularly knowledgeable about my store, but my superiors expected me to learn the answers to their questions in my own time. These questions would range from "What kind of wood to use as a support beam in a frost prone environment" to "When does a particular plant bloom", so I never really learned everything.

    Basically no employee discount.

    Advice to Management

Walk your employees through the store occasionally.

Relax. Some managers were on obvious power trips, but that's expected.
