    Pros

Salary and schedule, I was paid fairly and l knew what I would be working year around because of the rotation

    Cons

Good boys club, a lot of managers had too many friends whom didn't do anything. One manger would say left the other would say right

    Advice to Management

    Manager on individual levels

I have been working at Lowe's full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Good management team in the stores, great place to work most of the time.

    Cons

Company has forgotten that it's great customer service that brings people back, they are in the process of eliminating experienced full-time associates and replacing them with inexperienced part-timers.

    Advice to Management

You reap what you sow, saving a little payroll is not going to help sales in the long run.

    I worked at Lowe's full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Benefits, compensation, many great associates and customers. I absolutely loved my job, fellow associates and customers and would have given 200% everyday until I retired.

    Cons

Poor implementation of required changes, as corporate is extremely disconnected and unaware of what is truly necessary for success at store level. Recently there has been an enormous loss of strategic employees (critical amount of company knowledge and skills lost) that will stifle new staff development, reduce overall morale and diminish customer service abilities.

    Advice to Management

Train, support and appreciate the employees that you have. Sincerely appreciate their efforts and remember the DM's and what they contributed (and lost) when you see them reapply.

I have been working at Lowe's full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

-Learned a lot about construction and home improvement
    -Learned a lot about retail
    -Often times fantastic leadership
-Decent pay for retail if you are a Specialist or Above.

    Cons

-Constant changes to structure means that anyone who wants any money at all has to be constantly looking over their shoulder. Department Managers went away and all of that experience is going away.
-Cares more about money than their people even though they constantly talk about "family". Family until they can save a penny by hurting people.
-Used to have unlimited advancement opportunity but now there is almost nowhere to go if you want to better yourself in the company.

    Advice to Management

Bring back teamleaders if you want to continue with the current management system. That wont happen because then you have to pay the teamleaders more than $8/hour.
