I worked at Lowe's part-time for more than a year

    Pros

Majority of the workers are hard working, and friendly. They have truly built a community amongst themselves and act as a family.

    Cons

Management is unavailable. Concerns mostly fall on Deaf ears, if You aren't dismissed altogether. Customers wait in long intervals for managers or supervisors to address complaints, concerns, or incidents. Supervisor behavior mimics most of management, with some supervisors acting in a highly unprofessional manner. Examples of unprofessional behavior are referring to employees as " stupid", speaking in a... condescending manner, gossiping, walking out of the store after a fit and not returning to work, and openly discussing getting high, drunk, or even sleeping with employees.

    Advice to Management

Listen to the concerns of your employees. Complaints concerning work environment or treatment of customers and employees should be addressed and met with full attention. Management and Supervisors who engage in highly inappropriate behavior, and who are a constant subject in customer and employee complaints should be investigated and met with disciplinary action.
