    I have been working at Lowe's part-time

    Pros

    They offer benefits, insurance, etc.

    Cons

Extremely understaffed; zero morale; management is extremely lacking; have to fight for breaks; point of sale systems are unbelievably out dated and make no sense; registers are old and break down often; majority of the employees are extremely lazy.

    Advice to Management

    CLEAN HOUSE. Especially in NYC.

I have been working at Lowe's full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Pays well, good benefits, not worth the stress though. Paid vacation, sick time, pretty flexible with hours. Not many more

    Cons

To many to name in 20 words. Poor management, poor communication, employees get away with being lazy, everyone likes to blame someone else. Zero support from upper management, always say yeah I’m going to help you but never do. If you don’t meet their exceptions they throw you under the bus.

    Advice to Management

Learn to run a huge store like Lowes, learn to communicate, learn how to help your employees, listen to their needs, make a well damn schedule, hire enough help, learn to care a little more. Stop sitting in the office all day pretending to be busy.

I have been working at Lowe's full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Pay is good but they are reducing salaries . New managers are receiving 20% less with less staff layoffs in 2017

    Cons

No help on sales floor. Lowes is hiring pt employees. Few ft jobs ever. Workforce is not skilled. New hires simply don't come back for .27¢ over minimum wage. Management is inconsistent to terrible. No life/work balance. Retaliatory and petty.

    Advice to Management

Take care of your employees because customers are not pleased with your new sales model. Satisfaction is down 20% and it's across the country.

    I worked at Lowe's part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

None this company has to be one of the worst I’ve ever seen corporate and store management just leaves you to fend for yourself and won’t bother to help you when customers are backed up it’s pretty bad

    Cons

They can’t keep anybody because of poor management so you are left to deal with 4 departments on your on.

    Advice to Management

Get a clue stop cutting high paying jobs Lowe’s is making plenty of money and your pockets are fat enough

    I worked at Lowe's full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Corporate has great working conditions.

    Cons

Unrealistic metric expectations. You cannot set the customer at ease, listen to the problem, solve the problem, and correctly document the call in 9 min and 40 seconds. At least not AND give the customer the service they deserve.

    Advice to Management

Customer Service should never be production work. People try so hard to meet the metrics that actual service to the customer and documentation suffers severely.

    I worked at Lowe's full-time

    Pros

Work at your own pace, manage your own time. have a sharded office

    Cons

If your store dose not support you as RTM then this job is a pain to work.
You have to fight for your own space, as well keeping it clean.
From where I was my store treated me like the trash man. I would get everything under the sun that was not even my job.

    Advice to Management

Support your RTM, and let them do what they need to do.

    Pros

Love the people that I work with day to day.

    Cons

Market leadership and up have no regard for employees or customers.

    Advice to Management

Pay attention to the root cause of issues, not just what leadership says about someone.

I have been working at Lowe's full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Decent pay for the current times.

    Cons

Very disengaged management "team". "Human " Resources collude with store management. Total lack of concern for staff and work/life balance. If you have a payroll issue, you are on your own.

    Advice to Management

The basic employment agreement: I provide a service; you provide money. When that fails, an employer should make all efforts to resolve the problem. Your HR and management teams are completely apathetic. Perhaps because they are focused on self-preservation.
