    Pros

    Good pay, flexible with hours,

    Cons

Long hours, 48 hours a week, a lot of responsibility, a feeling of no job security especially with all the lay offs.

    Advice to Management

Go back to the basics, a lot of associates don't take care of the basics.

    I worked at Lowe's full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Nice people to work with.

    Cons

Some managers are selfish and will not help instead they hang out in the back and talk about what they did last night. Front end always short handed and no support. Your stuck by yourself doing pretty much everything possible to stay a float.

    Advice to Management

Stop being rude to your employees and support them and if you don't have a great attitude please look for another job.

    I worked at Lowe's full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Talented and motivated staff to take care of the customers and proud of their store.

    Cons

Lack of support with upper level management, no developmental opportunities, lack of creative opportunities, not all skills were utilized, decisions made without any input or discussion with associates. Lack of feedback and supportive direction, did not feel safe or secure and was a long term employee.

    Advice to Management

Company should make sure that they mean what they say and publish, too many different directions with changes in management, should be more consistent with company vision.

I have been working at Lowe's full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Lowes offers their employees great benefits. They also offer very flexible hours and are very into hiring from within, making it fairly easy to move up the chain quickly.

    Cons

Management leaves a lot to be desired in almost every case I have encountered. No one is being held accountable for their actions.

    Advice to Management

Start holding people accountable so that the people who actually come to work and do their jobs aren't forced to carry the weight of everyone else.

    Pros

Great benefits and 401k match. Employee discount for all employees. Store offers great products and services. Store is clean and maintained.

    Cons

Schedule can sometimes be difficult. Priorities change quite a bit throughout the day. Sometimes feel like just a number in such a big company.
