I have been working at Lowenstein Sandler full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Interesting work, great attorneys (who have a sense of humor), paper-free environment, no clocking in and out, great comp and benefits, management is transparent about the firm's profit & loss.

    Cons

No vision plan! Recent layoffs (small number of people), high turnover rate in IP.

    Advice to Management

If an employee is reaching a salary cap, create a new cap. KEEP your employees.

I worked at Lowenstein Sandler full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

i was laid off and replaced after a long run with the firm, but looking past that minor setback lol i have to be honest this is a SOLID firm. They are a family-oriented firm, flexible work-life balance, they have the right folks in management. Highly talented and top performing attorneys.

    Cons

Workload - this seems to be a problem everywhere nowadays
Salary - its all relative i guess, salary would be ok if every trip to costco wasn't $400 bucks

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the good work!

    Pros

Amazing support staff, amazing leadership from operations and reception lead.

    Cons

    not enough qualified appointed managers.

    Advice to Management

They were switching an Office Administrator and she did not last long but fired many people....watch who you put in positions overseeing people who were with the firm for years.

I worked at Lowenstein Sandler full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

There is room for growth within the firm. The Accounting Dept had a great group of employees that were team players.

    Cons

Intense amount of work in Finances. Required a CPA degree. Overtime was mandatory and they were understaffed.

    Advice to Management

Hire more legal billing specialist so the work can be produced efficiently and effectively.

I worked at Lowenstein Sandler full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great office with all the all star clients you would deal with at any other big tech firm. Good people besides one or two gossipy associates and a horrible partner.

    Cons

Worst, egotistical, male partner I have ever dealt with in my life. He lives on his on planet- typical NY personality and always testing people. Completely rude- half the things he says are harassment. Disrespectful- wake up- law firms are not made on partners like you anymore- people are waiting for you to retire. Constantly showing off.

The whole office just keeps their mouth shut because he is one of three partners on the corporate side.

    Advice to Management

Hire better partners/ more partners for the palo alto office. Train your first and second years better. Hire people from better schools.

I have been working at Lowenstein Sandler full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

A continuously expanding firm that cares for each one of their employees. Things as small as a free lunch on your birthday to a welcome luncheon. The entire staff is friendly and extremely helpful. You will never feel like you are alone in your transition into the firm!

    Cons

Surprisingly, I have nothing negative to say about LS!

    Pros

Honestly the nicest group of people I've ever worked with; very different vibe from other big law firms. High-level, interesting work.

    Cons

The only real downside was the hours expectation (comparable to NYC Biglaw at times) relative to the below-market compensation. However, the firm seems to respect work/life balance and vacation time.

I have been working at Lowenstein Sandler full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Great benefits, training, caring people, long term employees who are still enthusiastic, firm continues to grow, promotes from within, strong performance culture with semi-annual reviews, hires really smart attorneys and experienced staff, lots of innovative programs such as on-site chiropractor and programs for employees' children, opening offices in key locations

    Cons

older facility in Roseland that needs work

    Advice to Management

Do some cosmetic changes such as paint the Roseland office
