    Pros

Competitive pay, benefits, 401k, 40hrs week

    Cons

Little room to grow, very light payroll (2 -4 person coverage), not much advancement within store walls...floorsets with most product being out of stock.

    Advice to Management

Having a happy balance of work life and personal life...keep it at the door

I worked at Lucky Brand (More than a year)

    Pros

A generous 60% discount for encouraging the staff to wear their clothes. Nice co workers, nice management. The clothes are usually high quality.

    Cons

Folding endless amount of clothes, a very corporate feel as you have to listen to the music that gets sent to the store. Sounds like the founders were cool but when they sold it to Liz Claiborne company it lost its soul.

I have been working at Lucky Brand part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

You get a great employee discount and they start you off way higher than minimum wage.

    Cons

The job is repetitive and the store definitely needs to be remodeled

I worked at Lucky Brand part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The employee discount is great. It gives you room to purchase various pieces so you can get to know the product. I enjoyed the management I worked under. They worked with your schedule. Very understanding and usually relaxed work place (except during the holidays). If you enjoy the product you will enjoy working there.

    Cons

There seems to be short possibilities of advancement within.

I worked at Lucky Brand full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    - Discount (however it has changed to a less acceptional discount recently)
    - Peer friendships
    - Growth (But only within store leave unless you live in CA)

    Cons

    - HO have big visions, however DM's are not actually applying it.
    - "Feedback" & "Transparent Communication" is used just as another way to tear someone apart after they've given you feedback, so truly you can't give feedback.
    - Only the top 5% stores are listened to.
    - No true training takes place when getting promoted and you are forced to take what you learned from your previous manager and "just apply it".
    - No payroll for training associates OR managers. Unless your Store is hitting bonus you don't get additional hours to train. People are trained on the sales floor and without additional coverage never finish the training materials.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your Store Managers, don't force your management team to have to coach their leaders. Store Managers do not get paid enough to teach their bosses how to do their jobs better, or how to talk to people respectfully...
