I have been working at LuckyVitamin.com full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

I have been working at Luckyvitamin now for nearly four years and have really enjoyed it. The people are super nice and dedicated to their work. The company culture is outstanding offering many optional health classes, smoothie breaks, and meditation. And the business is growing which offers many opportunities for advancement.

    Cons

Wish there was more time in the day with so many projects in flight concurrently. But that's about it, really.

    Advice to Management

Keep focus on the culture and great environment for employees

    I worked at LuckyVitamin.com full-time

    Pros

Workers are very nice, management is not. Management only cares about money they send people home when its slow. They slow to replace people who quit.

    Cons

Bad place to work. Low pay high turnover of workers, management don't care about us employees, lot of other complaints.

    Advice to Management

Start caring about the employees. Alot of people leave soon after they start, why because this is not a good place to work.

    Pros

Great place to learn new skills

    Cons

After learning new skills you end up doing the managers job and not getting paid for it. Pay is well below what it should be for the field. Company pays new employees more than older ones and will not give raises.

    Advice to Management

Pay employees more. Value employees input and concerns. Maybe some will stay longer than a year. The product team should spend more time updating the website and less time making smoothies and doing Yoga

    Pros

    - clean, new offices
     - very close to train station
     - free coffee
     - free product samples
     - employee discount with opportunities to earn more

    Cons

    - non-mgmt salaries are not competitive
     - earning potential limited by tiny (3% MAX, never given) annual raises and only about 50% hiring from within
     - health benefits are lackluster
     - this company is owned by GNC, a company whose interests lie with its shareholders

    Advice to Management

    - increase starting salaries to attract higher-quality employees that will do higher quality work

I have been working at LuckyVitamin.com full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Non-management people are fun to talk to. Randomly they have free fruit in the break room. Free vitamins.

    Cons

The management in this place is seriously lacking. Some major changes have been going on in the past year or so that have not been employee-minded. Work/life balance is not respected, and they expect employees to come to work no matter how poor the weather is outside. They segregate customer service to one side of the building and RARELY allow them to participate in company functions/gatherings.

They make it look like a family atmosphere online, but once you're in the door you see that the family runs the place like blind tyrants and are trying to manage far too many projects at once.

    Advice to Management

Focus! Stop trying to "patch" everything, and work on getting *new* systems in place that are easy to use and more efficient (unlike AX - it's not mean for a call center!) Work on your staff morale. The incentive plan you have is disappointing. Us people making a low hourly wage still can't afford your products with the highest level incentive discount. And no need for any more wall decals or wooden clovers - either fix the decals that have been peeling off the walls, or spend the money on your people!

You probably want to stop asking your staff to give positive reviews on this website too. (You might notice a bunch of the same type of reviews in August, 2015.) That's pretty shady.

Also, please stop hiring back the staff that were terrible the first time they worked for you. People don't change that much.
