RecommendsNeutral OutlookNo opinion of CEOI worked at Ludomade for less than a year
Pros
Great projects to work on, a very happening culture, an excellent environment, and an amazing group of people to be surrounded by.
Cons
I don't have anything negative to say in regards to this company. I enjoyed my experience with them. I'm glad I was offered the opportunity to be apart of their family even though I was with them (as a contract artist) for only a couple of short months.

Doesn't RecommendNegative OutlookI worked at Ludomade full-time for more than 3 years
Pros
There were a lot of really talented people - every one of artists to developers. Free snacks and free lunch once a week. Also had nice offices.
Cons
While the client might have big names, the work being produced is low-budget and insignificant. Lots of re-skins of microsites and other boring, repetitive ranks. Was a lot better company when it was Soap Creative. No real business development and it shows. Work is not strategic and therefore it is all "pencil budget" projects from clients. Prolific micro-management at all ranks. Management meddles in *everything* and doesn't let the experts do their job. No company vision and it shows. Still doing work that would have been sexy 10 years ago.

Doesn't RecommendNegative OutlookI worked at Ludomade full-time for more than a year
Pros
There are plenty of great people to work with, talented artists and developers fill the roster. Lots of things to do, if you have time, Friday BBQs, VR machines, and lots of connected toys.
Cons
The company chases tons of little projects, then tries to make amazing things on no budget. This forces teams to become overworked and have to build a two month project in 1 and a half (or a 6 month project in 4 months). Every team has faults: The art/design teams dream up too much for the developers (generally bloating the scope). The Dev teams hardly work together, so development practices are terrible and make it hard to pair up devs. Producers and other staff constantly change everyone's schedules and pull people into meetings without a moments notice. Overall, there is little communication and lots of disorganization. Since everything done here is full of short, heavy work projects, burnout and whiplash plague the morale of the entire company. Innovation on new game technology isn't possible (one of the things management wants to do).

RecommendsPositive OutlookI have been working at Ludomade full-time for more than a year
Pros
I've been at Ludomade for over a year and totally love it. Since separating from Soap Creative, management has refocused mainly on entertainment, toys and games. We pitch a lot of fun concepts, and get to work on a pretty broad variety of stuff like web projects, games, fun social activations, experiential. It's a mellow place; but we do really high quality work, which I'm pretty proud of. Benefits and salary are competitive with other places I know.
Cons
I've looked at some of the other reviews here and they feel like spiteful and disgruntled 'outliers' to me. My friends at work are generally happy; if you've ever worked at any other agencies, they tend to work way longer hours and do tonnes of banner campaigns, which we don't do any of. My main con is I wish we made more headway releasing our own products, but I understand it's an agency, and that pays the bills.

RecommendsPositive OutlookI worked at Ludomade
Pros
Ludomade does fantastic, original work in the digital marketing space. It's a very creative, collaborative place to work. Everyone at the company is supportive and friendly, as well as energetic and highly skilled/talented in their specialty. The environment is fast-paced, which means the work is exciting, and it's also fun/interesting as you're always given new projects. Management is open/receptive to concerns and contributions from employees. And at the end of the day, you produce work that you're proud of. Plus the company moved into new offices at the end of 2015, and the new workspace is beautiful. I would definitely recommend working at Ludomade.
Cons
I didn't experience any "cons" in my period there.

"I'm sure there are better places out there"
Doesn't RecommendI worked at Ludomade full-time for more than a year
Pros
Nice and helpful people to work with. Amazing artists.
Cons
Company seems to be lost, incapable of producing long-term work or implementing a solid process. (what are the producers doing?) It keeps on delivering only the trivial shallow work of 10 years ago, and struggles to innovate in the age of digital product design, user experience, and agile methodologies.
