      Worst experience ever

      Pros

Flight benefits (more expensive than industry average though and only interesting for international travel to or via Europe since their hubs are based in Europe. Not interesting for domestic flights company doesn't operate U.S domectic flights)

      Cons

      - Very low pay - Horrible office location, in the middle of nowhere in an ugly area of Long Island. Minimum 1h30 commuting time from Manhattan and bad train frequency and multiples changes (only a bus can get you there). No reimbursement for transportation expenses - Very German oriented. All the management staff is German and male. German is the social language with little effort to enforce English as the official company language. German glass ceiling: promotions are not based on skills , only German speaking males are promoted - Some decent managers, but also extremely toxic ones (again, people are not promoted based on skills and competence) - No remote work allowed by company policy - Very little vacation time for a European company. However, German colleagues hired through HQ get German vacation time (5+ weeks).

      It gets worse every year

      Pros

The company offers good flight benefits, decent time off, work-life balance is well preserved. Most Managers are decent. Overall colleagues are nice.

      Cons

Constant cost cutting and diminishing opportunities. For the past 10 years I've seen the workforce cut in half. Absolutely no opportunities for growth, especially for non-German speakers. No structure employee development. There isn't a single individual in Mid- and High- Management who isn't German.

      Pros

A lot of time off, good benefits, good flight benefits (but too costly when flying directly on Lufthansa)

      Cons

Poor management, favoring people they like, even if someone not very bright, didn't recognize your hard work and dedication, no chance to grow unless you're one of "liked" people
