    I worked at Lufthansa full-time

    Pros

A lot of time off, good benefits, good flight benefits (but too costly when flying directly on Lufthansa)

    Cons

Poor management, favoring people they like, even if someone not very bright, didn't recognize your hard work and dedication, no chance to grow unless you're one of "liked" people

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook

    Pros

Used to be if you had a family and wanted to work part time- the opportunity to adjust your schedule to your needs was there

    Cons

So much outsourcing of the internal operations from reservations- to check in- to post travel issues that the company has lost sight of the idea of Customer Service. Excellent Customer Service does not come without a cost. Also the way standard employees are treated is very different from management from salaries to perks. Great perks if you are an Ex-pat at the expense of the local employees. Threat of your position being outsourced to another country/company is always hanging over your head unless you are management.

    Advice to Management

Rethink your goals. A former excellent reputation is difficult to regain once lost.

I worked at Lufthansa (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Airline benefits; good atmosphere among the employees; nice working areas; information well managed.

    Cons

Lack of trust of the management in the country and at the hub; poor management at the stations; poor communication between the different layers of management.

    Advice to Management

To be more in touch with the lower management, to be more present at the stations.

I have been working at Lufthansa (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Flight benefits, global company, extensive benefits, reliable and steady company, part of a global aviation group and worldwide opportunities

    Cons

Lengthy decision making process halts innovation. Many group airlines do not cooperate sufficiently such that many local solutions still exist

    Advice to Management

More dynamic and direct decision making would empower employees and create a more innovative working culture rather than managing status quo
