I have been working at Lularoe full-time

    Pros

Fun if this is your thing. Potential to earn a large amount of money if you are committed and self motivated and consistent. Quality of clothes has improved dramatically.

    Cons

It's a lot of work. A LOT of work. And the fact that there is no longer 30,000 consultants and instead 80,000...things don't fly off the shelves. It's not a get rich quick job. It's expensive to start and irresponsible people can get in a mess quick. People do not take into account this is a full time job and if you don't treat people right you don't sell.

    Advice to Management

Close the floodgates. Focus on quality consultants, not quantity.

I worked at Lularoe (More than a year)

    Pros

The money is better than other direct sales companies. People like the clothes.

    Cons

Startup cost is insane and you get stuck with lots of ugly prints that you need to offload. The owners don't care about their consultants, they'll put your order on backorder after taking your payment for it and then make you wait months for your order - - all while they keep selling more of the same product to other consultants. They held up $3,000 of mine this way for 3 months. They don't place limits on orders, so when legging stock is running low they will let some consultants buy thousands of pairs and leave others with none. Same with special releases. And consultants HOARD stock this way. Consultants undercut each other frequently, it can get very cut throat. I did very well, but when I averaged out how much I made vs how many hours I worked - I was at about minimum wage.

    Advice to Management

Set limits on how much of a product each consultant can order so everyone can get a bit -otherwise you're setting your consultants up for failure. fulfill backorders BEFORE offering backordered items to everyone else. It is a slap in the face when you take my $3,000 and send me a note saying my item is backordered then restock that same order on the website 10 different times and offer it to other consultants before filling my backorder. Your consultants are making you rich - take care of them!
