    Pros

Good Pay and opportunities to travel.

    Cons

They don't care about a work home life. They also prefer experience over performance... They have repeatedly skipped over me for jobs I am more than qualified for by saying I didn't have enough experience. They prefer old men with a bad home life so they just work all the time with no questions asked.

    Advice to Management

don't be quiet so disconnected from your retail employees.

    Pros

Great vacation time you get two weeks the first year. Then increase each year. you get paid weekly set work schedule.

    Cons

Make your own assessment, management does what they have to in order to accommodate store sales. They never say no which means more work. For the employees

    Pros

Benefits Not so much as corporate rule
It would be beneficial for the corporate team to understand the needs of their soldiers on the ground and help them achieve their goals which will lead to the company doing well and not take so much time coming up with unnecessary rules that destroy the spirit of the employees which in turn will decrease sales.
The company does reward those who go above and beyond in customer service some of the times

    Cons

Structure . Staffing no work life balance. Hours of operation. Making cold calls

    Advice to Management

I have been working at Lumber Liquidators full-time

    Pros

used to be a great company

    Cons

Regionals are idiots. It's all politics, somehow the good Regionals and Store Managers leave and the worthless micro managers who have no clue about sales stay

    Advice to Management

Fire all VPs, half the RMs and make bigger Regions. Have a true direct report who isn't from the company. Make it about sales and not about show. Get the stores actual inventory.

    Pros

Flexible work environment - Senior management does not "micro manage", can take time off as/when needed.
Relaxed culture - corporate setting is casual attire.

    Cons

Current work environment is tense and uncertain - due to bad publicity.
Lack of involvement - Senior management is fine with "as-is", lack of opportunity to grow.

    Advice to Management

Involve staff if/when available to give a sense of value.

I have been working at Lumber Liquidators full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Fun! Challenging! Busy! Learned a lot! Meet great people. Interact with a great group of clients. Assist the customers in selecting their merchandise.

    Cons

Always being left alone to do everything. Load three customers with 4 waiting in the store angry and insulting you. Not having a chance to eat lunch ir even grab a drink. And then another store calls upset because you only sold 280 sq feet of the 320 they have and you have no explanation. It's too much! And no one cares! I think that sucks! If they truly cared about the good people they could really keep better people on. And we sell installs and have all these issues and we have to cAll and argue with the installers and then the customers we shouldn't have to do that we shouldn't have to worry. There is no communication and organization and it is so frustrating. I am getting so burnt out.

    Advice to Management

I think that it is important to value hard working employees, by assuring they have the support they need to get their job done. By organizing and communicating clearly. Having floating staff to relieve stores who have short staff. Assure employees have a meal break each day it's the law. You are actually suppose to have two breaks and an uninterrupted meal. And that is impossible if I suppose to answer the phone in the lavatory.

    Pros

I like the work. It was fun because of the employees I worked with made it fun. Otherwise its a typical job.

    Cons

IMO they seemed to be just money hungry at times with their promotions and marketing. I felt my particular store lost opportunity carrying junk on inventory vs having more of their good stuff.
