I worked at Lumber Liquidators full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

If you want to you can go up high relatively quickly. Nice environment and good people. Flexible hours and ok start pay.

    Cons

Long work hours and lots of heavy lifting. Lots of disorganization. Unfair bonus system that prefers managers over workers. Had to get promoted.

I worked at Lumber Liquidators full-time

    Pros

Great benefits, decent compensation, good marketing team

    Cons

long hours, expected to work numerous days in a row-sometimes more than 20 days in a row, not great communication between HQ and the retail stores

    Advice to Management

Allow the store managers to do just that...manage. Enough hand holding. Either trust in your teams or don't. Enough micro-managing

I have been working at Lumber Liquidators full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Loved to people. Enjoyed being involved in the front of house and back of house.

    Cons

management makes the job stressful because they are hounded by upper management to hit sales goals.

    Advice to Management

Let the sales guys do what they do and work on better training practices to get more out of the staff. Making constant changes to the process makes it hard to find a groove with the way the operate.

I have been working at Lumber Liquidators full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great benefits, low health care rates, great vacation pto arrivals rate, non retail hours, new management is operational focused giving stability to stores, small staffing model, sales driven culture, people oriented, trainings is par, , outlook is positive

    Cons

Labor intensive, communication of company can be deflected or ignored by regional manager, company management and support is inexperienced, margin is more important than customer satisfaction due to customer expect more with brand name and advertising. Name brand is misleading.

    Advice to Management

Brand and name needs to be reworked to align with company. Liquidators is not focused on margin but on sales. Customer seem to loose disconnection of value vs price.
