I have been working at Lumber Liquidators full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Not a lot of late hours. Good products and prices. My regional manager is very helpful. Very good employee discounts. Good wages.

    Cons

Very small staffing. Several blackout periods for vacations annually. Low budgets for office supplies. If you are short an employee be ready for lots of extra hours.

I worked at Lumber Liquidators full-time

    Pros

Great company to work for. Definitely takes care if their employees. All stores work together instead of against eachother

    Cons

Still get lots of bad judgement from the Chinese Laminate. Even though lots of other stores had it also. Usually only 3 employees per store

    Advice to Management

Listen more to what your employees have to say. Try doing more with the customers like DIY stuff so they can enjoy instead of getting over whelmed

I have been working at Lumber Liquidators full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Hard work pays off, promoted to SM in 8 months. Knowledgeable and deticated regional manager with high regards to his employees.

    Cons

Not enough employee support (Verys from store to store)

I have been working at Lumber Liquidators full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Competitive pay for entry level position
    Opportunity for advancement
Both my store managers have been great
3 weeks of vacation time after your first year and this goes annually so after 2 months I had 3 wks PTO after new years
Chance to gain sales and warehouse experience at the same time

    Cons

The usual retail cons such as working every saturday and sunday. I got promoted to asm2 at a slower store and now have every other sunday off but that is rare.
Pay could be higher in NYC area where cost of living is high (great for most areas especially considering you can get a job here just by having a good attitude and willing to do some physical labor).

    Advice to Management

Slightly higher bonus structure to store employees to drive sales.

  5. "Great company to work for under the right regional manager."

    Pros

Health benefits and 401k. Pay is great. Very little supervision so you can really own your business.

    Cons

Long hours with no appreciation of work/life balance. Weekends. Small staff

    Advice to Management

The work is nothing to complain about. There is a lot of self integrity and worth for what you do. I recommend more staff and more directive. Too much flip flopping priorities.

    Pros

Great benefits, flexible work schedule, growth potential is fantastic. The company really puts employees first, and their actions show it.

    Cons

Smaller company, pulling out of a couple of tough years. But pulling out! I think you would have to want to work hard, but if you do the rewards are there for the taking.

    Advice to Management

Keep employees first, happy employees make happy customers!
