I have been working at Lumenis full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Income potential, growth within company, established market presence, individual support and recognition from highest levels within the company. A lot of respect right away.

    Cons

Work/life balance is tough. Lack of coordination between supply chain and sales. BUT, as long as you are open and honest with your manager, the work life balance can be addressed.

    Advice to Management

Great company. A pleasure to work here.

    Pros

Great products and people to work with.

    Cons

Micromanaged at the end of every quarter and month.

    Advice to Management

More demo lasers in the fleet for use and tools to help reps sell.

I have been working at Lumenis full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Company culture, ability to drive your own business, uncapped earning potential, great company benefits as compared to other companies in this job category

    Cons

High pressure, intense pressure to meet or exceed quarterly quota, no work life balance, definitely could use additional support on the back end, lifting heavy equipment

    Advice to Management

Listen to all people in organization, ground up, coordinate clinical education team to be on same page as sales

    Pros

Great job if you just got out of trade school and want to learn a wide range of laser devices.

    Cons

You will work 50+ hours a week with no overtime pay. As a Field Engineer you will be required to meet a sales quota in order to prove your worth. The geniuses who think that service engineers and sales people are one in the same STILL haven't learned that 20-30% attrition rate among engineers is NOT normal. It's costing them more money to hire and train engineers than the money they make on the contracts sold. If you dare to tell them that selling is not what engineers do you will be treated as though you committed blasphemy and be shunned by service management. It really is like a religion with them!

    Advice to Management

Listen to your engineers if you don't want to continue to lose them, you can't recoup the training investment, the tenure and the relationships they built with their customers. Give raises to show appreciation for their commitment instead of promising better commission pay outs if they sell more. It's a big turn off.

I have been working at Lumenis full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Freedom to have your own territory and managed it accordingly. Work out of your house is a plus too.

    Cons

Absolutely NO PAY RAISES. .5 percent matching on 401K. No opportunity for advancement unless u are a YES person. Don't disagree with upper mangement u will be a person they black ball. TOP MANGEMENT DOESN'T LIKE TO ROCK THE BOAT SO JUST AGREE WITH EVERYTHING THEY SAY. That is how u advance.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees ask for feedback and don't take it as a negative comment but implement change and let employees grow and have a say in ideas. Grow your employees and communicate with them and not dictate them. Learn to better managers

Commitment to new product development pipeline enrichment, synergistically energized by organic & inorganic pathways. Solid Q-Q & Y-Y revenue growth performance under executive leadership.

    Cons

In-country Distribution network model is challenging, presenting periodic inefficiencies & unpredictabilities, requiring tight management oversight.

    Pros

You get free drink and popcorn daily. You can casual wear whatever you want. Make your own schedule and have 401k benefits.

    Cons

Management is not really professional sometimes and some workers get to do whatever they want. Management doesn't seem to care as long you have finished your work.

I worked at Lumenis full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

The first 30 years was a great place to work and the people were just as nice to work with.
I am just glad to retire with my head in the right direction

    Cons

The last two of my 32 years my Customer Service Associates were dishonest, not helpful, and talked behind your back to management. This includes my manager.

    Advice to Management

Train the personal in the call center to have some respect and not to stab your friends in the back.
Hoping to get a few brownie points is not worth working there.

    Cons

Headquarters are hard to get things moving.
