I have been working at Lumension Security full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Good pay for performance. Excellent team to work with!

    Cons

Information security changes so fast - can our company keep up?

    Advice to Management

Find ways to reach out to enterprise customers.

    Pros

Great office space. Good work/life balance.

    Cons

Appears to be favoritism with regard to raises....has been 2 full years without a raise while others around seem to get them. When you receive meets or exceeds expectation on performance reviews, you expect a raise.

    Advice to Management

Give raises when/where raises are due.

I worked at Lumension Security full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The people are absolutely wonderful to work for and with. Free lunches every other Wednesday, free soda fountain/popcorn machine in the break room.

    Cons

Small company, not much room to grow.

    Advice to Management

Engineering needs to be held more accountable and pushed harder for deadlines. Perhaps more fresh blood should be brought in to revitalize the ENG department. If you are going to sell a product it should be in full force within your own company and individuals should not have a choice to participate in the using the software.

I have been working at Lumension Security full-time

    Pros

The people here are pleasant and a joy to work with. The building is beautiful and has complimentary soda, coffee, catered lunches every other Wednesday and flexible work schedules. The ability to work on new technologies in engineering is refreshing and allows for professional growth. The new CEO(John Ferron) is very open with as much information is legally possible without being just fluff. This is a huge improvement over the previous carryover CEO from NetMotion. The ability to move up is available for those actively seeking it. New benefits are much better with 401K match and better PTO policy.

    Cons

A clear vision is actively being constructed for long term growth. Near term future is more clear but that only accounts for the next year. Movement majority of business operation to NetMotion in Seattle has been a tough transition since July 2014 but adjustment is going more smooth lately. New PTO policy is nice but could always be better.

    Advice to Management

Treat your existing employees like gold. Be flexible with working hours and dont track time that people are in their seats v. working from home or away from the computer. Get a long term plan established and communicated out. Have more contact from C level executives to employees.

    Pros

Working in the Melbourne Office you are nice and removed from the main office in Scottsdale.
The work environment for the Melbourne office is nice and laid back.
    Flex hours.

    Cons

Management being located in another city sometimes leads to the opinions of the Melbourne office being overlooked.
Sometimes the inter office politics can get messy.

    Advice to Management

    Don't disregard the Melbourne office.
Clear out some of the inter office confusion allowing all employees equal weight and input in the decision making process

    Pros

    Good people, Good product idea

    Cons

Doesn't work as advertised, difficult to install and keep working

    Advice to Management

Hold those responsible for the defective product and sales to task, not the technical team.
