    Pros

Get to work independent, work on AWS, allowed flexibility to make tech decisions.

    Cons

Coworkers tend to ask more questions than they google as developers.

I worked at Lumeris full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Mostly good people if you are on the right team. Some work from home and family work balance good. Pay is marketable

    Cons

This company has a history of surprise layoffs. They don't tell you at all whatsoever when it will happen. One day I come in and they say, come to HR. Down there I go and there are 30 other people in the same wave. They say, "this is your last day, you will not be able to get your stuff, it will be sent to you, give us your badge." In other words, surprise mass layoffs there's the door. It's extremely difficult to pick the technology you want to use. You are told what technology to use not able to pick it. This can be devastating for your career.

I have been working at Lumeris full-time for more than a year

    Pros

it's very easy to disappear. coworkers have vanished for months without taking any PTO and without doing any work, and they're still employed.

    Cons

it's a trash fire and nothing will ever change. too many executives with too few employees who actually care rather than just protecting their ego. those that do care are soon squashed by the behemoth that is this company's topheavy design and refusal to innovate.

    I worked at Lumeris full-time

    Pros

Benefits were OK; coworkers were great; decent work/life balance (although at the expense of getting ahead professionally).

    Cons

Management. Some managers set you up to fail and then blame you for not delivering, which then gets brought up at review time and impacts your salary. I was told not to share what I was working on with other teams, even though they would benefit from it (and I'm not talking about protecting a product's secrecy here). Who in their right mind discourages teamwork? Turnover was ridiculous; then the layoffs began. They shut down one of the offices, and the managers in charge got promotions at the expense of everyone else.

I worked at Lumeris full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Nothing positive, other than occasional remote work and the smart people that "used" to work there, but then they got even smarter and left. The small handful of good people that are still there(possibly), have been brainwashed anyway.

    Cons

Horrible management. Sinking ship with no direction. Grabbing at straws to stay alive. Technology and roadmaps change with the wind. Not profitable. Layoffs galore. Moral is shot. Very unstable and unhealthy environment for anyone. Never feel like what you are doing makes a difference. This company really knows how to waste money as well as your time. Build things that are never used. Start down a road with a project and abandon it. Wash, rinse, repeat. Have way too many hands in simple things causing bottlenecks that are unbelievable. They believe if they fill the air with a bunch of overpaid management and have enough meetings, it will solve their problems. It's never going to happen. Now look what you have done. No one wants to work for you anymore, and the ones that did, you fired! You did it to yourself. Good luck in the gutter. Who knows, maybe if you hire enough management, and blow through a little more of your investors money while delivering nothing, you will eventually make then mad enough and they will put you out of your misery.

I have been working at Lumeris full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Continued focus on next generation platform. Opportunities to learn new technologies but need to keep up with fast pace. Smart good people to work with. Continued focus on improving culture. Multiple upper management all hands meetings scheduled regularly to communicate future direction.

    Cons

Still some struggling on moving forward with next gen platforms. There's some work still to do to get St Louis and Austin to work more together I feel. More communications at the ground level is still needed to make Austin engineering feel like part of St Louis teams.
