I have been working at Lumeris

    Pros

Compensation, good people, relaxed atmosphere and fast paced environment

    Cons

I would not necessarily call this a con, but the work is challenging. If you are an intelligent and driven individual, Lumeris is for you.

I have been working at Lumeris full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Good pay; a lot of smart, good people work for this company

    Cons

It seems here are more VPs than regular employees. Being this top heavy bottlenecks decisions and change for the better.

I have been working at Lumeris full-time for less than a year

    Pros

    Some smart and good people

    Cons

So disorganized. Health Insurance, PTO, 401K awful, no bonuses. They pay a person doing the same job in St. Louis (much cheaper cost of living) the same amount as someone living on the west coast. This is why their employees are so young and only last one year- they move on.

I worked at Lumeris full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Great coworkers. A lot of good people. Some good eggs in leadership.

    Cons

No direction. Everyone pulls in different ways and nothing gets done. Everyone looks busy but there are no tangible outcomes - certainly not fixing healthcare.

I have been working at Lumeris full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Cafeteria on campus, adequate parking. The pay is good but then again the have to pay well they have burned so many good people the word is OUT.

    Cons

The CEO Presidents VP Directors Managers are of the elitist attitude and a congruent group of people who could care less about their employees. This is a very sick institution. Their growth is based on small peanuts or who no one else wants to bother to ascertain. Even these new onset agreement companies if they had the insight to the absolutely poor management they too would run. If you think communism is a dead idealism in the USA, you should work here and understand this is the management style. They enjoy pitting fellow employee against fellow employee, horrible work environment I have ever worked. I am currently gathering my resume together quickly. After 3 years I am running out of here. Take my advise Stay Clear of this poor ran hostile work environment. The absolute more incredible horrific department with the most amount of power is the HR department. The henchmen for the upper management. All positive reviews have been written by this department or by their drinking partners. When the HR department is literally bed partners with the CEO/Presidents you haven't a chance at a stable employment environment.

I have been working at Lumeris full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

some really good people there trying to do the right thing even though the constantly changing management keeps moving the target. Seems like focus changes daily/weekly.

    Cons

OT is practically required... which can be good or bad depending how you look at it. really high turnover. some leave on their own (for better pay or opportunity) while they fire some of the best people there. HR changes weekly. Seems like there is no one in HR you can really go to. As soon as you find a connect, they are gone. HR has been like this for the past 2 years. Prior to that, it was a good stable HR department. They don't recognize employees for hard work. Nothing get's done quickly between departments. A whole lot of hurry up and wait. Something will be become a red hot priority and everyone scrambles to address the issue. Then it stalls for months. Then the issue is scraped for another new red hot issue. All the hard work was for nothing. Pay is below industry standard which has been confirmed by employees who leave for other Healthcare companies and report back they are paid more for the same job.

I have been working at Lumeris full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

They will pay market if you ask. Coworkers are good people. Cafeteria in the building. Parking is free. Coffee is free. Relaxed dress code.

    Cons

Absentee CEO Monthly reorgs. Constantly rotating management and inconsistent job titles. Many layoffs over the past few years. Staff replaced by attrition with short term contractors. Hard to fill openings with good candidates because of reputation. Very high turnover. Company vision and product expectations change every few months. Systems and methodologies wholesale replaced, then abandoned for the next thing. Not competitive in our market. Our product is poorly done. Local management replaced by out of state consulting firm. Company spends a lot of money flying them in and out weekly.

I worked at Lumeris full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Nothing positive, other than occasional remote work and the smart people that "used" to work there, but then they got even smarter and left. The small handful of good people that are still there(possibly), have been brainwashed anyway.

    Cons

Horrible management. Sinking ship with no direction. Grabbing at straws to stay alive. Technology and roadmaps change with the wind. Not profitable. Layoffs galore. Moral is shot. Very unstable and unhealthy environment for anyone. Never feel like what you are doing makes a difference. This company really knows how to waste money as well as your time. Build things that are never used. Start down a road with a project and abandon it. Wash, rinse, repeat. Have way too many hands in simple things causing bottlenecks that are unbelievable. They believe if they fill the air with a bunch of overpaid management and have enough meetings, it will solve their problems. It's never going to happen. Now look what you have done. No one wants to work for you anymore, and the ones that did, you fired! You did it to yourself. Good luck in the gutter. Who knows, maybe if you hire enough management, and blow through a little more of your investors money while delivering nothing, you will eventually make then mad enough and they will put you out of your misery.
