      Pros

New CEO has longer term vision with a focus on innovation and talent retention. Automotive business is really picking up with system solution wins at several key customers. People are feeling more energized by recent events. 401k match is exceptional.

      Cons

2020 was a difficult year with cost savings front and center but employees will still receive a bonus in recognition of hard work and dedication.

      Poor Top Management

      Pros

Some of the managers are really good to work with and care about you. Some of the coworkers are enjoyable to talk with. Lots of autonomy even right out of school. Great work life balance, and health insurance benefits were relatively cheap. 3 weeks paid vacation.

      Cons

Poor management means that you probably don’t get to use your vacation when you want to, 2 years in a row they have forced employees to take vacation at specific times. They routinely lay people off. It is difficult to get work done when the next lay-off is looming. Whether you have a good experience is 100% up to the mercy of your manager, which is due to a completely unestablished company culture. My first manager was great, second manager was terrible. Although others have had managers even worse. Top management sets “ambitious” goals that are unrealistic and then holds the front line workers responsible, even when the front line workers have been setting realistic achievable goals the whole time. There’s a huge disconnect between upper management and the front line, in large part this is due to the middle management being “yes people”. They never challenge upper management, and constantly agree to unrealistic goals because they’re too afraid to give upper management a realistic view of the organization. Thus each year budgets are way too high because they are based on “expected revenue” while actual revenue is never anywhere near the “expected” level.

      Not recommended

Oct 27, 2020 - Manufacturing in San Jose, CA

      Pros

Very flexible work schedule (due to 24x7 overseas meeting availability expectations any time of day or night).

      Cons

Extreme favoritism among management. If you are not among the 'in group' your career will suffer. Sexism and bullying co-workers. No training. No culture expectations. No consistent goals or direction from management - direction changes weekly. Bleak old campus building not maintained with plumbing and ventilation problems with occasional porta-potties in the parking lot instead of real bathrooms. Understaffed cafeteria so expect to wait in long line to get lunch.
